Tested it again with the whole thing! I'm not sure if i just over reacting but its hot, but bearable when i put my fingers on it. I dont have a temp gauge so i cant really tell. All i can tell is it's not beyond boiling point.

On my tricopter- the front two motors get to around 27 degrees celcius (80.6 F) and the back gets to around 42 degrees celcius (107 F), which is hot to touch. I don't know if I should prop down, but the main problem I think is that my yaw gains are not perfect yet, and the rear motor is compensating a lot more frequently than the front two.

I have the motors 1200kw 2628 ntm, on 2 quads, they have alot of power specially on 4s, and dont get wery hot. Used 10x4,7 props and had alot of thrust, no prob lifting 1,8kg quad. But something bad happened today- my quad with camera after many flights suddently lost power on one engine and fell from the sky. broke an arm and several frame parts. I felt the motors, one of them was burning hot. i waited till it cooled down, and it flew ok again, but after 2 mins of flight it again fell from the sky and now one motor is burning hot after 2mins flight and not spinning as it should = Burned wiring in motor, will replace it have another in stock. But other then this failing motor they perform very nice.

Today one motor smoked out on me, after many flights. I think i found out what i did wrong. But if flew awesome. I was using 10x4.5 on 4s on these motors, and i think that is too much. Now im exchanging the motor and trying 9x4.5 instead, i didnt do the bench test but i proberly should do it and see the amps
