No you didn't at all, and I didn't take it that way. I think it is cool.
I was just pointing out that the group thinks carefree is dumb but their main rig has the feature.

Sorry I came across negatively.

I think features arms races are good for the industry and HF being able to check the box for IOC/carefree is important.

I rarely use/need it, but I fly 2 rigs and one has a controller with it and I have found it useful for shooting a couple times.

It's not integral, but it does require the flight logic from the mag to be working very well, which is a benefit for all GPS mode flights.

Cool... :-)

The best feature HFT has going for it is the commitment to the film industry and that is reflected in the software. I think it is fun going into a WKM environment and pointing out to the people who can actually see and feel a difference what a difference the cinema grade software of HFT makes.

I doubt any of the folks here even know about the carefree feature of the WKM. ;-)

I expect the mode to be available as a beta in the next few days.
Any news as to when this beta might be released please ?

Hi Al
How is the carefree firmware going please. Also is it permissible to take off with AL and PH engaged or does PH use an altitude refence as well as position ?
Thanks

Three questions about this feature over over the last three months & not even an attempt at a response ... that's a fine effort HFP.

Carefree is planned for the next release.

It was pretty much done the day I posted the video. But all new features have to be fully tested and must fit into our development schedule.

I am looking forward to this new feature as well.

Very Exciting. This has some VERY interesting potential for filming. Although thinking about it...I am just not sure how I would use it...I mean the quad does not really care what direction it flies anyway...so how does this really help? When I have a camera pan tilt and roll....not sure I see a use..hmmm..more thinking...

maybe it will it will make it easier to fly far away when all you want is to "bring it home" and you cant see it?? hmmm

If you use this feature and get smooth rudder movement you could forgo the 360 gimbal for video work. I intend to try this with a trainer TX controlling the rudder channel.
