Best battery, ESC, motor, prop combination for my quadcopter..

Pardon me for my newbie questions, as this is my first quad.
My quad in total will weigh about 1.5 kg. So will the following parts be adequate?

1.motors- hexTronik DT750 Brushless Outrunner 750kv
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...247&aff=655899

2.ESC's-hobbyking ss series 25-30 amp.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...460&aff=655899

3.Props-Slow Fly Electric Prop 114.7SF RH Rotation (4 pc)

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...451&aff=655899

4.Battery-ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 3S1P 30C

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8587

5.Frame, im planning to build my own with aluminium.

6.Controller-atmega328

7.IMU- IMU Digital Combo Board - 6 Degrees of Freedom ITG3200/ADXL345

http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10121

(Also, is there an alternative one just as good as this one, available in hobbyking?I'd like to buy all from a single site to save my shipping costs )

8. Radio -RX-tx Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2 (Mode 2)

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...042&aff=655899

( i thought i'd use this as, i've already planned on using Xbees for giving me flight data, I could use them to adjust the gains using that )

1.5kg is pretty heavy for a first quad... how are you building that thing?

Your links don't work btw.

Sorry about the links. I have edited them, please have a look.

And about the weight, I've planned on using aluminium and i wanted to add some extra protection for my propellers in case my quad crashes. So,1. frame = 500g.
2. battery = 408g
3.motor X4 = 312g
4. ESC X4 = 88g
5. other electronics = 50g
6. future add ons , like a camera.

So , in effect it comes to about 1358g.

I really don't know, honestly... I think that the only protection you'd need for your props is prop savers... as long as you buy extra props. That is a pretty heavy quad though. I'm a bit busy atm but can reply later about it.

that battery is a bit big, try a 2200mah or bigger 3s. and you have the frame weight and wires etc so it could come out to 1.5kg+

you need both CW and CCW props:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=22451
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=22450

getting a turnigy 9x and flashing it with er9x firmware later is for sure better than the HK TX

HK doesnt have any IMUs just FCs. that IMU is a RIP OFF! get this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MPU-6050-3-A...item2572b0b780
OR
the same one as you picked but cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Nine-ax...item2a1c0cdf69

are you writing your own code for the FC?

you could use some CF plate for the center plate of the quad:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=24964
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9782
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9781

the image attached shows how i made my DIY FC. D8 in that pic can be aux input 2. that image is for MWC, but would be a good layout for custom FC with custom firmware, too.

Sure. I would really appreciate that.

With 2200 mah won't the flight time be too low? I was hoping to get about 12-15 mins.

Apart from the extra channels and the display, to set the gains etc, is there any other thing that this RC has to offer? I actually was planning to set the gains via my xbee i use for telemetry.

Thanks for the heads up. Are you sure this one will work, firstly i've never bought electronics from ebay fearing they might be damaged. Also i am a lil' skeptical about using a new IMU on my quad. Has anyone used them before?

yep. That's the plan.

Thanks a lot for your replies

the looks you get from non-RC people from all the knobs it's just generally better. more features, models options etc, reliability.

yeah, tons of people buy these. ive gotten stuff like this before and it has been packaged pretty nice. if you're really worried, then go for a "top rated seller". the first link is.

time to do some calcs!
with 11x4.7 you get 1133g thrust which draws 17A per motor = 4532g thrust, and 68A max for all 4 motors. 1.5kg is 3.0213 (roughly a third, 4532 / 1500) of 4532g. so that means you need a third of the thrust to hover, therefor you need a third of the max amps which would be 22.503A to hover. then to find flight time we divide battery capacity in amp hour by amp draw of the quad and then times that by 60. so with a 5000mAh battery and a 1.5kg AUW: ((5Ah/22.502A) * 60) = 13.3 min hover. with a 2.2Ah you would get 5.86minutes hover.

you may just want to go with bigger motors fora 1.5kg quad...

I have a similar build...link
i found for my 750kv.. the flight time stays the same as you increase/decrease the weight..(for my set up..) but hovering time will increase as you add mah

noted.. the flight time in this calc is 100% throttle.. you dont want to go 100% all the time.. so the combined flight time will be kind of in the middle of both

Something like a 900 or 1000kv ? The specs of this ones says it gives 1000g+ thrust...

And the problem with my battery is the weight right? What's my maximum mah, so that it stays light enough and still do the job?

I'm confused, you seem to have ESC's rated for 20A, but the battery's rated for 65/100 C .Won't a 30C or so be a better one? Please correct me if i'm wrong. Also, your quad does good with 750 KV motors and the 1200g ? If you don't mind, please post the specs of your quad.

normally .. 1.5~2x of needed will be good cuz higher C batteries have better voltage handling but a bit heavier

ESC i will suggest go for hk30A(F-30A). and flash them to this
literally you want esc also at leas 1.2~1.5x of you max current... just cooler and smoother

Hey, is there any parts that are available in India? My shopping list has all parts even connectors and heat shrink tubing from Hobbyking. Everything amounts to a lot of shipping money also.

Thankyou Fugbucker and jyo933...
I've changed my ESC to http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html
