My Scratch Built FPV Simitar Build - Bill Evans Style
Ok, I have this wing left over from a club junkyard build 2 years ago. It is approx 500 sq inches and 48" wide at the widest ribs. I mounted a 3530-11 motor to the wing in plans to make a twin boom tail assembly for it. Later I decided to just forget the tail altogether and build a Bill Evans style Simitar.
I plan to fly it 5.8g FPV, but initially I'll just mount the GoPro Hero for standard recording.
I just finished setting up the nosegear...all my other planes have been tail draggers, so this probably took me longer than most.
Here are some pics. I'll keep you posted with the progress...
Elevons and vertical stab are to be mounted next. Two wing servos will be installed inside the wing.
