Andy,
Maybe just a little overboard?

Thanks guys

All the work now is time consuming and not real fast but I'm getting there. The fuse is about done, sans the cockpit which will be done last.
So I just had to gun her up and then put the first decal on. Now the 52-911 didn't have this nose art, it's just me wanting to have some fun with it.

No SEFF build this year....the wife being pregnent stepped in and layed down the no "glassing" and no "painting" rules since she has been sick nearly daily since the beginning. I am still trying to make sure I can make it to SEFF...delivery date is early March and my family decided to come at the beginning of April. I am trying to save my vacation and sick time so I can make it.

The plan is to fix my vampire.... and paint her right after baby delivery. LOL I might try and bust out Beanies F-100 in 1/12th scale and then build a bigger version later.

J, please tell us you've added a new camera to your list to Santa. Please. Nothing worse than blurry pictures of a masterpiece.

Thanks Wilfor

ATIS,
Hope all goes well. You don't need a new plane for SEFF, just come and cook the SEFFburgers.

Thanks Pinky

Caddy,
Not sure it's the camera. I tend to get in a hurry and jerk the trigger.

AS,
Hope this week is better for you my friend.

You're right, it is a battleship!

That's right Bryan,
Don't forget that pretty little hammer!

Congrats Woody!
You won't believe how big a raise you get IF
you can keep them from moving in with you!!!!!

jpt,
I have it set at 35-40 psi. I decided long ago that changing air pressure and needles on an airbrush is way more work that I like to do. So I just learned to paint everything with a medium needle at 35-40 psi, never change anything but the finger pressure. Hey, it works for me!

The best air pressure for air brushing is 15 - 20 psi.

IF you are using airbrush paints, I would tend to agree. But I use regular household paint. Acrylic latex enamel, satin finish, interior house paint. To use this you need to thin(I use Windex) and increase the air pressure to atomize the paint.
As many models as I build and with the size of them, airbrush paints would break the bank and I would be reordering all the time. Instead of hundreds of 3 oz bottles laying around I keep quarts of primary colors and mix my own. There is a learning curve to doing it this way but like I said, it works for me.

John, you build much bigger and you will have to start using a roller with a extension ;-)

Progress is looking great -- Stacker
