Thanks Hans!
Great job with the videos. Appreciate it, I know it isn't easy work.

splinter,
Detailing has started. I always have a little trouble changing from event mode to building mode. So I'm getting a slow start on it. Plus a few distractions with business, looking for a new truck( old girl has 90,000 miles on her now), discharging/ balancing batts to storage mode, etc.
I have started on the 20 mm Gatling guns, min guns will be next after they are done. Have the clamshell doors off and need to finish inside and then paint. They will be put on permanently, I have no channels left and no reason for them to open.
Decided a lighting system would look cool so I went to Radio Shack yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff for it. Now I just need to study LEDs and learn how to wire them up properly. It gets two landing lights in the wing, flashing red beacon on one vertical and the belly, wingtip red & green nav lights, and a single white and amber( yellow) in the end of the port boom.
Still to be determined is the power for the four bladed props, it looks like 5s will do the trick and keep the rpms just below the 8,000 limit. I will be getting some 2s-5000 batts in to try with my 3s-5000 in series.
So work continues but is just getting off to a slow start. This bird will be completed before I start another. I don't want to fall into that 90% completed model trap that plagued me many years ago where I had half a dozen models laying around unfinished.

Great Videos Hans. Nice not to hear that loud "CLICKING" sound! LOL!! What a difference a dedicated video makes. Zooms were good and it stayed in focus too. I just can't see a way for me to be able to do all that AND take stills at the same time!

You need a clone! Your pictures are awesome, and your clone could take video. It would be the best of both!

Ok, back to reality...

Has the date been set yet? I'm not a skilled enough pilot or builder to bring anything, but would love to meet everyone and see first hand what talented people can build from scratch!

OK, starting to get my mojo back although a dental appt gets in the way today.
Just found a GREAT book on Amazon. It has over 50 pages just on the 119s. Also the C-47s and C-130s. Can't wait to go through it. Books on the 119 are really scarce and I'm lucky I found this one.
Plastics came in from Sparkys' site, the motor front will be a close fit and may just rub a little, hopefully it will run in a little and not melt the plastic. The motor front needs a little more detail before I paint it.
Working on the Gatling guns. Little stuff like this is hard with large hands and weak eyes but here's what I have so far. They will be mounted on the inside by magnets, no way they would transport well if glued solid.
Once they are done, I have four miniguns to build. The Gatling are 20mm and the minguns are 7.62 mm. Magnet mounting on them too.
After that all the door openings equipment, flare launcher, illuminator, etc need to be built.
Like I said, lots of details.

"Large hands and weak eyes".... HAH!.... It's about patience, and you seem to have an abundance. They look pretty convincing to me! Keep on trucking.
