Not really... but you will have more consistent power over the length of the run.
If your vehicle draws a max of 60a constant and you're running a 20c 5000mah pack, that's a 100a it can deliver. Moving to a higher C pack won't effect anything on a fresh pack because the lower C pack was well within the power requirements of the vehicle.
I only suggested going with 30c-40c packs because they're easy to find, and pretty cheap too.
That said, if your motor wants more amps than the pack can deliver happily, the pack won't just give the amps its rated for, it'll try to give the motor everything it wants, usually resulting in a damaged/puffed pack.
