You can use for normal mode -3 to +10 and for 3D +10/-10 in Idle-up.
This way in normal mode you have enough negative pitch to bring down the heli in wind.

That is how I setup my pitch curves for my helicopters.

hi all
I posted this in another thread but it got buried ...

have the 120d02S and devo7e
some setup say to set your gyro in manual and some say in auto ?
have mine on auto 80%

any white blades out there ? I don't like black blades , I guess I could paint them ...

BTW I just moved the TH an Idleup switches arround so it's like my DX8 , wires need to be extended to do this ...

The Devo 7E is a nice small radio , appart from the lack of switches !!!

Tom, I find a bit strange the short flight time with telemetry enabled.

On both my Mini and V123 I get the same flight times with it on or off. Could this be something on your end? I use a Devo 10 as well.

Your V120 flight times are exactly the same as mine, I only have stock lipos.

My mini gets 3 to 4 minutes with a C05M and XP-7A, but I push it hard and my lipos aren't new anymore.

My telemetry is as follow:

1 voltage enabled. No temperature since I removed the sensor on my Mini when I went brushles, rest inhibited.

That is interesting your getting the same flight time with telemetry on or off.
Many of us are getting the very low flight times with telemetry turned on.
We are using the Devo 10 or Devo 8S,
There are also posts on this on this site but I don't remember where they are but I found one of them.

I have the same telemetry settings as you posted.

The V120 7 minute flight time is great!
I am getting 3 minutes flight time with my Mini CP (C05M 13500KV motor/8 tooth &10A V3 PnP ESC) and getting
over 6 minutes flight time with the Linear 400mAH battery.

Tom
My UP02 + adapter is in customs atm, but when I get it I'll verify the firmware versions on both birds and report back. My Devo 10 has the latest firmware from Walkera's site, 0.6 I think.

Sounds good. Thanks for posting that you are getting the same flight times with or without telemetry.
Maybe we can see how we can get the same result also which would be great.
My Devo 10 also has the newest firmware in it, version 0.6A

Also when you update the firmware on any RX like I have done the program will
tell you the firmware version, example version 1.0. After you do the update it will still tell you the same firmware version.
So if you installed version 1.1 on the version 1.0 it will still say version 1.0.
It did this for all the helicopters and quads I updated the firmware on.
This is not good as we can't tell if the RX has been updated or not besides the confirmation after you flash the RX.

does anyone remember where the thread is located that tells what size carbon fiber square tubing to buy to replace the tail shafts in bulk? i remember someone noted the size and i think a link to a place that sells CF rod & tube.

Thanks for any help! I searched for the original V120d02 thread but can't seem to find it.

I had a whole 4ft long piece just sitting here (you cut to size as you need it) and my wife threw out the box with CF rod in it)

or at least thats who i'm blaming for now.

If anyone was still wondering, I got mine from here:

And wrx is right, those cf tubes are sturdier than stock. I got some for my mini cp tail boom there too, they were much more durable than stock.
