I'm still very new to the hobby.
May someone elaborate how the two above setting would differ regarding flying.
I still need to set up my New V120D02S as it drifts to the right, when trying to take off slowly.

If you heli drifts, it suggests that the the ail-elev gyro gain is not enough. I suggest that you adjust your left pot up to the position shown in my picture. If your heli starts pitching up and down at a low frequenc, then you should lower the gain setting.

The tail gyro gain is adjusted through a channel on the transmitter. This has been the case for some time with most tail gyros.

Thanks I will try it out. As said I'm still a new and need to do a lot of reading how to set up everything properly incl. how to level the swash etc. Another thing I need to figure out is how to adjust the settings for a more scale like take off as at the moment it jumps some 2 foot into the air immediately from the ground.

OK that makes sense, thanks. That's how I do it on my 450's. I don't have a CP Walkera and obviously I did not think that through. I appreciate the reply.

if it drifts it could also be mechanical setup....make sure the swash is level when you have your throttle at 50%...also when you do this make sure the throttle and pitch curve are linear.

I just bought the BNF V120D02S V2 (Green canopy).
I will be doing a full review on it all stock then with the Turbo Ace 915 BL
15,000kv motor using a 14T pinion and the and XP-12A-2 (VER 2) High Speed ESC.
The motor has extreme power!
I have it on my 4G6 w/RX2610V2 now and will be putting it on the V120D02S V2.
Then I will put my HP08-2 back on my 4G6.

Did you get a slipper clutch for it? I would like to know if it will handle this motor..

I have the setup guide posted for it with the settings from the owner’s manual.
I was thinking I can use the Mini CP setup. The Master CP uses the Mini CP settings as a starting point
so I was thinking the V120D02S V2 can use them also.

Hi Rafa,

I would have had the review posted today but the ESC burned out only after two battery packs!
So now I am waiting for a new ESC that is on the way to me.
I want to test the heli 100% stock out of the box first so I don't want to use another model ESC which I have many of them
including the XP-7A-2 and XP-12A-2.
Once I get the stock ESC I will test flight times, thrust, and headspeed.
Then install my TA915 and XP-12A-2 (VER 2) and do the same tests then post the review.

Wondering what is ideal Max/Min pitch for sports flying on v120 size heli? Same for 3D? I am reconfiguring my pitch settings and right now its +10/-10 in Idle-up. I don't plan to 3D yet, but would like to learn sports flying such as flips, rolls and inverts.
