Obama didn't go to the convention as he didn't want to explain how he's been such an abject failure, especially in light of a 14% black unemployment rate.

Romney getting booed by the NAACP is a savvy political move and precisely why he spoke. Evidence of that is in this thread.

His visit had nothing to do with gaining black votes, those were written off long ago.

Oh, I'm so sorry that I forgot how hard it is for some here to find a source thru a simple web search for like something like THE BOROWITZ REPORT. Bet if the byline said FOX you'd have no problem finding (or believing it).

SHAME?Did anybody really walk away from that with any pride? You should have watched it from my vantage point.

I watched the crowds reaction... it was a real laugh fest.

Romney cannot relate to the average American.

Romney apparently got a standing ovation, of some sort, at the end of his speech. He showed courage in addressing that hugely Obama loving crowd. Meanwhile Obama sends the VP showing a lack of interest, or respect.

One interesting thing to note is Romney didn't put on a "black voice" while addressing them. I seem to recall Hillary and Obama both affecting accents while addressing them in the past.

It's called tolerance, you think the tea party would treat Obama the way this crowd did Romney?

We'll never know as Obama doesn't have the courage to speak to anyone that isn't already in love with him. He barely talks to Republicans in Congress.

I would think, and hope that they would treat him with all due respect.

Let's not forget that Romney went door to door preaching the gospel of Mormon for over 2 years.

He is used to standing his ground and being laughed at... in fact, it gives him joy to know that he is being persecuted for the name of God.
I think if he were willing to compromise, he could have picked much better subjects to talk about.... but he was in it for the persecution.

I did read that, but after I made that post. I was searching for something else and saw a link to it that gave it away.
