Pan Am never had one, I did the scheme as a "what if they were still in business" kind of thing. I grew up watching Pan Am every day and loved the airline

I am now back from holidays and some part's that I ordered have arrive so I can start the build, I will be flying from grass so the scale wheels 1'' Dia have got to go and larger ones fitted, I got some 2'' wheels that should do the job, I am going with 4 wheels per truck as 6 would be way to big, the good news is the existing trucks can be reused so no fabrication is needed, I have to find something suitable for axles then I can take it for it's maiden

It flies and flies well! 3S 40C 3300 pack. No problems and was able to get down in the crosswinds. I am happy!!

Nice one. I can't wait to get mine. My only issue is our strips are 20yrs old and falling apart, so unti they are redone there are loose stones. The worst enemy of an edf, will have to sweep the strip before each flight lol.

1st touch and goes. It handled the crosswinds just fine but could use flaps

Nice flight. Still hoping to get mine airborne soon. Winds here still in the 25-30+ mph range. Forecast for next week is lightening winds so maybe can go on Turkey day.
How much flight time did you get out of that battery? Thanks hawaiian |

Well done on the maiden, good to hear it can handle cross winds
I have been putting vinyl on mine this last week and the decals are almost done, I still have to do the nacelles, I will finish it off Saturday and maybe a flight on Sunday weather permitting Mike |

kcboomer.....great maiden videos! absolutly love the pan am livery. nice to see such old, classic colors flying again.
limodune.....beautiful work on yours, too. i'll tell you what, fellows... one of the things i enjoy most about reading these threads is being able to admire the work and finishing skills of my fellow modelers. i'm down for the next couple of months, recovering from back surgery. at least i got mine up for it's maiden before my procedure. in the mean time, please keep the posts/videos/and photos coming! this is a great model with a lot of potential. looking forward to following along with everybody's projects. regards............rob |

i've done the same thing, mr. boomer, having gone through this a few times already! i've got a nice stack of guillow's kits. should be fun to build them as r/c conversions not to mention breaking out the silkspan and dope!
