Got my 777 today. Put it all together and it looks as though one wing is higher than the other. So I checked over it and the top of the wing join is flush, but the bottom is not right. Did anybody else have this issue and if so what was the cause? I can't figure it out. All leads were out of the way, spars in and the wings pushed together as hard as I could, which as I said gave a flush join on top, but not on the bottom. Of course I stupidly epoxied it before realising.

O.k so the nacelle's are the same height but the wing tips look like they are out out by 1cm, the underneath of the wings is flat. The nacelles both read 110mm from the top centre to the floor, but the wing tips read 175mm on the right and 185mm on the left. So given the nacelles are at the same height, one could assume the wing itself has a warp? I might just have to see how she flies. Here is a pic of what I mean

Well she is all ready to fly, still can't work out the wing. Just need to buy some batteries. I would have to cut way too much foam away for my liking to fit the 4000 in, unless I sit it in on it's side, in which case I only need to cut from the top of the fuzz. Might just be easier to go with 3300's.

Believe it or not, I did some minor cutting, the 4000 is in and it is balanced fine at 200mm. I just don't have the funds for more batteries and these 4000 are brand new. So I can say it does fit and to be honest I removed barely any foam. Just a bit crowded now lol.

Just finished the last of the vinyl work to be done on the belly, the wing's were glued together with GG then all the join's filled with spac filler and sanded, I butt glued together the grill and added a couple of sticks to make it a little stronger, I took advantage of the recess's on the belly and opened them up for more airflow to the speedies, we have just started 30* days here, I used a piece of 10mm sharpen'd rod to open up the holes, I still have to change out the wheels but that is the last of the mod's for the moment, this is the first time I have vinyl'ed a plane --it has been an experience

Looks good mate.

Maiden was a success, no trim was required at all, however the plane is prone to moving around a lot. I have some video but it didn't turn out good, so will grab some still shots from the video.

As I was doing low passes, I realised the LG was on back to front as the wheels were hanging forward not back lol.

Congrats on the successful maiden! Planning on flying mine on Friday. Forecast is for no wind and sunny. We all know the weatherman is always right!

That's the same battery I'll be using to fly mine. Plane is loaded in the truck and was hoping to maiden it today but grandson is sick so I got volunteered to watch him. Hope to try tomorrow. Going to use the balance point Ming showed to start. 5mm back from the middle wing line.
Good luck on your inaugural flight!

Mine flight today ended in disaster. The plane went down in the tree's, and we fly around very thick scrub etc. After a drive through the bush and a bit of searching, we pulled it totally unmarked from the bushes lol. Went for another flight and almost lost it at the exact same place, given the maiden was uneventful, I can only assume the RX is losing communication, or this plane is not meant for anything but a breeze, it seemed to wallow a lot, in a turn, it just kept rolling over and diving for the ground, then was going straight and it just went skyward, very strange indeed, but again me thinks it is aan rx issue. So will try a different rx.
