Is 0.8 kg/cm (12oz/in) enough to drive the rudder on a GWS size warbird?

I'm trying to pick the servos for my new project. A scratch built Hawker Tempest with GWS 350 power.

Is this enough torque for the rudder: 0.8 kg/cm (12oz/in)
How much do I need for the ailerons and elevator? I'm guessing 0,8kg/cm is not enough.

That's probably plenty for the elevator and rudder. I've used Pico STD servos on my GWS warbirds' elevator and rudder with no problems. They only have 10 oz/in torque. The only thing I'd be careful about is in a tailwheel situation. Could be enough torque there to strip a gear.

For the aileron I'd use a servo with at least 1 kg/cm or 15 oz/in torque. It really depends on the amount of drag/friction in the actuating mechanism. Flex cable is pretty high friction, torque rods are lower.

I run pico std in my mustang, and havnt' had a problem (yet... brushless will tell)... I even ran a tailwheel with the pico, and didn't have a problem (the tiny parkflier tailwheel is hard to lever a lot).

GWS Pico or Hitec 55 should be able to handle any parkflyer needs for any plane flying 25mph or less. The only exception would be a 3D type craft with barn door control surfaces. thunder 1 is right in cautioning aileron control with flex cable will need more torque than torque rods. If possible, use torque rods for the ailerons. The weight savings on the smaller servos will compensate for the extra work of fitting rods.
