Blade 130X Review Video w/ Flight Test

I picked up the 130X on impulse to kind of celebrate my new job, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much from a little plastic heli with AS3X, but Blade has done a great job again. The 130X has the stability you might be familiar with from other aircraft with AS3X, but it's much more nimble than the mCPX, and the brushless power system makes it a real 3D machine. The shaft-driven variable pitch tail system provides solid tail control even with me at the sticks! No more tail blowouts in simple maneuvers! I think if you can fly the mCPX, or you're good with simulated CP helicopters, the 130X would be a great choice for your next helicopter!

Here's the review video, flight test at the end...

Enjoy!

great review man! Nice to see someone flying it without doing any 3D stuff.......gives you a good idea of what to expect in regular stable flight. Now.....if only they would come out with custom canopy's for it.........that would be sweeeeet! Then again....its bigger brother the 300x might be a better choice for something like that, then you would see more detail.

Thanks again and this has inspired me to get my 130X ASAP

Perhaps you can provide lind(s) to retailers, if any?

It is a Horizon product, so there's hundreds of hobby shops that should have it. I would call your local shops and see if they have one - most of the local shops are sold out. I don't personally support ordering online because I think it can leave the customer in a disadvantaged position in terms of service after the sale. However, here is the link to order directly from Horizon - they have a store locator on their site...

Thanks again for this video review, Jasmine. FINALLY, I can experience the joy you're having with yours now that I have what appears (6 flight so far) to be a good one out-of-the-box. Sorry if I was cranky before, but the first one really pissed me off.

Yeah I get it. I've had bad products before. I don't know how many of them are on the first boat from China, but it's thousands, and new products sell out pretty quick. There's always a good number of defective units when you sell so many of something.

I love it! I'm not having any problems and i love the way it flies, like a much bigger machine.

Be sure to go check out the 130X main thread. There's some things you might want to do to make it run a little smoother, but I haven't really bothered. I don't fly hundreds of flights a week though like some people. Seems like the tail wears out earlier than maybe it should, but it's pretty darn solid. Best of the micros by far, but it is a micro, so don't expect 450-type durability. It's better in a crash, but parts wear out faster on these.

You can't just say that and then not tell us what you did wrong.
