Here's a quick video with my Drift helmet camera just velcro to the battery. It sounds a lot better. I think the bad sound you refer to is from the Contour camera vibrating on the old mount.
This sounds way better and only three of the props are balanced.
I think I'll still attempt to balance the motors though.

You can hear the props resonating in the first video. That wa wa wa sound is the harmonics coming into tune and resonating up and down in frequency. I can hear the same sound in the second, but it's much quieter.

I think the motors are the culprit. I have balance my props almost perfect. The motors are making a to of vibrations. One of my motors is missing a shim. I need to get one of those. I'm just not sure of the size. I'm going to attempt the ceiling fan method with tape.

Thank you very much. I'm thinking about getting a GoPro2 and the video cable so oi can use it to record and fly FPV.

I'm hoping my rig is in sync, the props are balanced pretty good. Here's a video I just did from work at lunch. This is from the Contour and it sounds like crap but I think it's the mount and the camera vibrating.

PLUS, my NAZA/GPS is holding pretty steady in GPS mode. I had the TX on the ground for the above videos. there was a little wind but this thing holds great. I'm very happy with my setup except I only got 3 GPS's to lock on the Dragon system.

Getting a GoPro2 after work and ditching the Contour and KX191 camera.
Hopefully it works better and there's not much latency and I can cruise around in FPV just fine. If not, I'll have to rearrange things and maybe add filters.

you wont have a problem with lag and the goprp 2 that issue was fixed a long time ago with the GoPro 1 and a firmware update.

I have flown many hours of FPV using the GoPro as my flight camera

Just installed my new GoPro2 and it's got vibrations.
I first installed it directly to the front tab with velcro and strapped it down and it had vibrations so I removed the velcro and put a piece of sorbothane then strapped it and it's a little better but still has vibrations.
My stock props are balanced (can't wait for the Graupners to get here)
Any suggestions.
It was fairly windy out but I don't think that made any difference.

I now get one red flash when the GoPro is turned on or recording. I guess I'll move the NAZA GPS to another arm.

what setting did you have your GPH2 on? If its set to 1080 then it will be difficult to get rid of all the "jello"....try using 760...that is what i normally use and it produces pretty good results if you have vibration dampening down good...

As for your GPS...yeah i would try moving it further away...

Ya, I have it on 1080 and narrow.
I'll try 760
I really don't like the wide angle fish eye thing and 1080 is the only setting that you can change from wide, medium, and narrow.

GoPro's are notorious for emitting rf in the UHF and GPS freq ranges. Your Naza GPS right next to the GoPro is about the worst location you could have picked. I have mine on my rear arm, sitting on top of a copper taped ground plane, connected to my electronics ground. I do get lock now, but usually turn off my VTx until the Naza GPS gets lock, then I turn my VTx on and it'll usually hold lock. I have a DOSD GPS antenna on the opposite rear arm and IT DOES NOT have any issues with the GoPro or VTx. It locks quickly and reliably. I think the Naza GPS antenna is poorly filtered...bummer a near $200 GPS system doesn't work as well as my $40 OSD GPS antenna does.

I'll move it to the rear where the DX8 satellite antenna is and move the antenna up front.

Hopefully I'll get better signal and the DOSD GPS will get a lock also.

Yeah...that is the only downside...but to be honest with you...i can't tell that much of a difference between the 1080 and 760....but it is nice to have the narrow view option.
