I bought the Sky Surfer months back so can't really go back to company.
Just got around to getting it together to fly.
Plugged everything in and when I plugged the battery in the motor started
to run about full throttle. I had the throttle all the way down. Unplugged the battery and check everything again. Plugged it in again and the ESC started to
smoke and melt the heat shrink tubing around it a little.
So looks like the motor controller is screwed up. Who makes a motor
controller I can replace the old with at a good price and will work with
the brushed motor standard.

Still need to find a motor controller for this sky surfer.

This review thread show it uses a 20A brushless ESC that has BEC, so any brushless ESC rated as 20A or above with BEC will do. There are many on the market, you could contact your local hobby shop, your favorite mail order hobby supplier, eBay etc.

Edit: Woops!, re-read your post, 'brushed' motor ?, I assumed initially it was a brushless. So as above BUT a brushed ESC.
