Is my electric motor dead? Or just needs a cleaning?
My electric motor looks ok, but when I rev it up high it makes a loud noise and stops or runs backward. It seems to run ok as long as I don't run it up too fast.
This motor was involved in a crash.
Hooked up another motor with the ESC and receiver and it worked fine.
Anybody else seen this? Could it just be dirty or is it toast?
Read somewhere that you can use WD40 to clean electronics - should I try it?
Hate to throw away a good motor.

Other than that try different timing on the ESC to see if that helps.
