This is my rule for Trex FBL cyclic and tail arm lengths:
250 cyclic ~10.5mm - tail ~5mm
450 cyclic ~12.5mm - tail ~8mm
500 cyclic ~18mm - tail ~10mm
550 cyclic ~21mm - tail ~13mm

Note, some heads have different length blade arms, which can require these lengths to be altered.

Vibra-analysis

I've been tweaking my heli and have got my vibs below 200 on the vibra- analysis .At 3050 or higher it doesnt show any vibs, at 3000 to 2950 it's around 220.Pretty cool but I wonder if it's that accurate or more for show?just installed four Kst ds215 servos and running them at 7v, awesome!

The vib analysis sounds like a nice feature. I wonder what the possibilities of a bluetooth link are, with this gryo.

Those KST215's should be amazing at 7 volts. Let me know if you had to lower the gain any, and what did you use as a BEC to get the 7 volts?

I used Hercules SuperBec/w 7v option, configured 7.4v output voltage for KST DS215. though 7.4v (no load) a bit high for DS215 operating at 7v under load, no issue at this moment.

Didn't have to lower gain but probably should add some expo till I get used to it!I am using the castle ice 50 with internal 5a bec.Seems at this voltage the battery life is shorter. Are higher voltage servos more or less efficient ( comparing the two Kst ).Also do you think 5a is enough with four Kst 215 at 7v?

Usually higher voltage less current is more efficient, but since these servos are operating faster, because of the higher voltage, then they will use more power.

5 amps at 7 volts should be fine for those servos.

I've updated the second post with installation details and a test flight video.

Let's just say the jury is still out on this one. I've only been flying the 500's and 550 recently, but last time I flew the 450 pro with the 3GYS v1, I though it flew better than with this gyro.

The first flight was a real shock. It felt like I was flying a 450 with the Align 3GX (bad). Increasing the gain made a big difference, so now perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to it and used to flying a 450 again.

I'll take it to the field and see how it performs with a bit more space to do some 3D.

Hey Beenying, just curious as to what servos your running during your test?I no the Robird team has been using the Kst 215's and they work great just wondering if servo speed and resolution has a part in your results.one more question, what's your vibra log look like, are you able to keep the numbers below 200?

I was going to put this on my Protos, but I'm slightly nervous from a couple of BF's comments, so I will put it on my old Copterx 450 that used to have a Beastx on it, and is almost identical to a Clone 450 that currently has a 3X1000 on it - it will be interesting to compare

Left is still on your left and the elevator can be in front or behind the swash. It will correct for everything as you set it up.Both my Beam and BlackAngel have the elevator in back.
