It's not a Slash 4x4 clone, but a lot of the parts look similar. If some Traxxas parts swap on so parts can be found locally, it could be a nice low budget option.

Hope it will arrive at UK or Europe warehouse. Just cost less than a half of Slash 4X4 and equipped with brush-less system which should be a good deal

Just a new clip about this SCT by hobbyking

the looks of it none of the slash parts will fit that rc. would be nice to have it for fun but does not look like slash parts will fit at all but thats my opinion.

Looks good, but it looks like it could have some of the same problems the Slash had.. Kinda wish they had made an SC10 clone instead.. that open driveshaft tunnel is begging for pebbles to come in and bind it/score it pretty bad.. Wonder if HK will provide a protection screen similar to Outerwears. The chassis looks to be shaped differently.

New trooper:

Not many changes, wheels, tires and body. Wheels and even moreso the tires look very similar to the turnigy desert buggy. On the DB the tires are alright, but the wheels are VERY flexible and don't maintain shape.

But at the price, may be good competition for the new Turnigy SCT, the SCT reviews aren't looking all that great yet..

Thx for the review. Is new version better, or address the bottom plate issue at least?
And should I buy one now as it'll be likely to go out of stock forever?
