Note, that with mMWC you get a stabilisation unit for your airplane or deltawing for less than 30 USD. (8 USD for one mMWC, 10 USD for a arduino pro mini, 10 USD for the MPU6050 combined ACC/Gyro sensor IMU).

I'm modyfing the MWII code (2.1 version) so it will be possible to change the PID attenuation via AUX channel and not via THROTTLE channel

In this way will be very simple to link the PID attenuation to (for example) a 3 way switch and choose during Fligh the best gain

Ciao

I just can try to find some time to make a video on my work bench.
For a flying video I do currently have no chance due to a heavy project in my job and my family...

However, the first 3 persons who post a cool video showing the mMWC in action will get another mMWC for free !!!

Hi Christian,

Do you have Pull-ups in your shield?

Regards,

Daniel

hi daniel!

No, mMWC does not have pull-ups integrated, but the MPU6050 from ebay or the one from dx.com allows 3.3V-5V usage, so no problem with that!

regards,
christian

Got all bit's and pieces finally. (Your shield arrived very fast but had to wait for the other stuff) All soldered together and the bench test was working out as a charm without any issues at all. As I have 8-9 stabilizers without any shield using WII MP only I'm sure this will be a success mounted in a plane.

Thanks for your excellent work, not only with the shield itself but with the astonishing manual as well!

great to hear, that you got all in place.
Can't await your detailed report after first flights.
Don't forget: If you can do a video for us and you are one of the first 3 people providing one, you will get another mMWC for free!

greetings from vienna,
christian

Sorry but the rain is pouring down this weekend. I doubt I will be able to manage a testflight. Aiming for the next wekend I'm afraid.

Two mMWCs ready!!

One for a flying wing and the other for an airplane.

I'm modifying the code to attenuate the PID via AUX channel

Stay tuned!!

On the bench all works fine!!

Name: mMWii and ezUHF in PPM mode.jpg
Views: 297
Size: 255.8 KB
Description: mMWC with ezUHF in PPM mode

AUX1 LOW -> PASSTHROUGH
AUX1 MID -> GYRO STAB.
AUX1 HIGH -> ACC+GYRO STAB.

AUX2 LOW -> NO ARM
AUX2 HIGH -> ARM

AUX4 -> dynamic PID attenuation (see here the code mod)

ezUHF in PPM mode to mMWC

I've modified the TPA (Throttle PID Attenuation) in my own Dynamic PID Attenuation so you can change the PID attenuation with a simple filip of a switch (like a heli gyro's remote GAIN control)

Stay tuned!!
