Thank you for the very nice pictures !

I ordered a few days ago an FH-H800, with the new version of the DS02 gimbal (DS02 Plus):
http://www.foxtechfpv.com/ds02-gimba...era-p-657.html

The choice was not easy between the new version of the landing gear (carbon fiber, lower) and the previous version (aluminium). The carbon version is lighter, but the camera is closer to the ground (and dust).

I am now deciding which type of battery I should use. You mentioned that you use two 4S 5800 mAh batteries in parallel. How have you attached them to the frame ? Would you have a photo or two maybe ?

I am considering the following Hobbyking batteries:
ZIPPY Flightmax 8000mAh 4S1P 30C
ZIPPY Flightmax 5800mAh 4S1P 30C

Do you think it would be possible to use one 8000 mAh battery ? I suppose this may cause a load asymmetry. Or even two 8000 mAh batteries in parallel ? They are not very thick apparently.

You can see how I mounted the batteries on the above pictures, they are mounted below the gimbal plate with two velcro straps.

I think you could easily fly with one battery only, no problem..

Ah ok, I see them now: they are nicely integrated. Did the Velcro straps come with the Foxtech kit or did you purchase them separately ?

Also, you obtain 12 minutes flight with a 4S2P 11600 mAh battery setup. Extrapolating this figure would result in about 16 minutes using a 4S2P 16000 mAh combo, maybe a bit less Including the weight difference of the 8000 mAh vs 5800 mAh batteries (about 200 g each). From the Sunnysky motor specs:
http://www.foxtechfpv.com/sunnysky-2...tor-p-382.html
I think it should be possible to get a bit more, maybe 3-4 minutes, but of course, there is a safety margin...

Well I usally fly with these batteries for 10 min, that leaves about 25% left i the batteries for longivety.. I use the JR telemtry that has a MAH counter and flighttime varies with weather and amount of turbulence where I fly.

The straps are a couple of Align Battery straps.

Hi:

I'm very interested in this frame with SunnySky 2814-11 700Kv motors. I have two LIPOs of 5000mAh 3S, and I don't know what is the best prop for this configuration.

Graupner 14x8 E props on DJI 30A ESC's and 4s batteries.
with 3S LIPOS, may be 12x6 or 13x6? Carbon fiber?

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Other thing, The picture of the SunnySky 2814-11 700Kv motor has short wire, and you say that they came with long wires. Do you have specifically requested?

EDIT 2: Any option to buy a controll system mounting plate? Can I buy this power distribution board for this frame?

Thanks

It all depende on your all up weight...
But I personally think that you would not get the best setup on 3s with these motors, for 3s you would need Higher KV motors, say around 900kv maybe..

But you could always try out the 13x6 props and see how that works,

No, no special request for long wires, they came like that in the kit I bought.

No problem, glad to help... I don't know anything about that board but if it can take the load you are going to be running I don't see why you could not use it... I just use two good gauge wire my self and solder the ESC wires to that... I like to keep it simple

On the web page of the FH-H800 at the Foxtech web site, it is mentioned that it can be equipped with 3S or 4S batteries. The motor specifications are also listed:

From this table, it should be possible to use a 3S battery without problem, but for a relatively low takeoff weight. For about 4 kg, it should be possible. The only problem is that the required current will be quite high, and it will put a relatively high demand on the ESCs.

Yes you are probably right, I am more of a fly and test kind of person and found that for my Hexa the 14x8 props work best,, but for your 3s might be just the ticket..I say go for it
