Yep. But it taught me a lesson. It is not about having as many sensors as you can get and trying to quickly sketch some code using them. It is about paying attention to every little detail and how it all fits together.

Speaking about methodology...

i would say 'picture taker' because theres no need for a sport frame due the non availability of an acro/manual mode

One question I do have for the resellers/distributors is stock availability. I realise this is a Beta, and initial numbers may be limited but are we likely to be waiting months on end in the future for availability?

I always liked your black widow design.

We're not targeting the sportive pilots - though I'm pretty sure warthox will show us some of his wild moves once he got hands on the board.
But we recommend a KK or MWC for sportsmen.

I guess big quad/hexa/octo frames for AV/AP heavy lifters will be what our adopters will be asking for.

Tomorrow is the day!

Shop doors open at around 18.00 o'clock European time.
We expect some queuing in front of the shops - so you better be quick. Yes - the amount for the beta run is limited!
But it won't take months for another batch since we have prepared for that situation.

Ohh my, one more FC to add to my already big collection of live and dead FC.

One question (for now) we will receive the kit below? (exactly as it shows) pre-assembled.

The specs of this thing look amazing and I sure as hell will keep that FC on my list. In the moment I am a happy Wookong-flyer and will continue to be until the BETA phase is officially over, all users are happy and all bugs have been removed. If that and the fitting ESC live up to the (enormous) expectations, I will instantly switch my DJI-driven octo to a complete Autoquad system.

After watching the calibration video, though, I am trying to imagine how I would do that with my octocopter, 1m in diameter and very heavy loaded up with gimbal and the likes. Might do some workouts until then .

Not to mention DJI where you have to pay 1300$ for a software upgrade.

Our competitors will need to adjust their price politics when they want to keep up with the development...
yes but mk is already out of beta and everything work like a rock...
the most important thing is not the numbers of features but if they work well
so an introduce ^price will be better for autoquad....

@ Reginak: the boards come as a KIT, meaning you'll have to solder the pins and wires yourself.

@ Knilch: at least your neighbours will have a good laugh when you'll be performing the Calibso in your garden.

Once everything is settled I'm sure someone will offer the calibration as a service and/or ARF/RTF builds for those who love flying but don't like soldering and dancing on their own...

similar mk hardware costs ~640€ // dji wkm ~900€
so ~380€ for aq is still to expensive?

Just for the taste

You've seen the video from page1?

AQ v6.6 Autonomous Mission Demo (2 min 39 sec)

Here the visualized flight path, showing the accuracy of the POI mission:

@kinderkram
Question. I was reading the wiki and found this:

The AutoQuad usually comes with two barometric sensors (only 1 baro in the public beta). They can be used for altitude measuring and differential measurements for airspeed monitoring.

But in all the pictures posted here there are 2 barometric sensors. So, tomorrow when it opens for public will it have the 2 barometric sensors? And if not, can we buy it later or something?

Thanks

Was the demo video with what the kit comes with (board + GPS) or optional add-ons like the VN-100? Irregardless, it is impressive!
