One Step Closer

One day at a time and one step closer.

I think I will name it Mini-Mollie Winged.

Just wish and hoping I can find counter-rotating fans. If that happens, I will be in heaven!

But all is not lost without them.

I've heard that adverse torque isn't such a problem with EDFs due to their relative small blade size so it might not be such a prob. I've seen some RC counter edf units but I'll keep an eye open for any computer ones.

I have seen a few EDF counter-rotating also but they were EXPENSIVE. The torque is paramount for a Bicopter but I can compensate with a third smaller rotor on the rear. I have a variable pitch system I built in the early days of the Sweptback that is collecting dust right now.

You can buy the replacement fans from Freewing's Su-35 and the SebArt MiG29 3D. Both are sets with two fans that are counter-rotating and they seem pretty cheap.

Cheers,
Henrik

Well, well, well, found some perfect Duct tubing for my 64mm Fans. The fact that this can is made of Aluminum and the wall thicken is fair, I can use the Aluminum welding rods on them. Stay Tune.

Thank you hklagges, you are right about the craziness and being inventive. I have been pursuing this VTOL idea for a number of years now and I feel I am very close. So close I can see it.

I was just looking over some archived videos of the previous attempts, came very close then but I abandon them for newer technologies. This Bicopter technology is the key element.

No, the egg beater is still in the mix, just hard manufacturing parts in my garage.

I have a watch set on ebay for a bench top lathe.
