Video : Scale Fest UK Style

An impromtu scale gathering on a summers afternoon at Long Mynd UK.

2 x 1/3rd scale ASH 26's, 2 x 1/3rd scale Carbon DG 808's, ASW 17, ASW 15, 1/2.8 Swift, 1/4 scale Nimbus, 1/3rd scale L213, 2 x1/3.3 Pilatus B4.

Got most of the them on a compilation video, didnt spend much time videoing, the conditions were too good, and i missed the Swift performing fast low passes...

Apologies to those missed.

Scale Fest 2012 (4 min 42 sec)

Very nice!

I'm envious. I don't know of anyplace near home (NYC) where it might be possible to fly like that.

Excellent video work also. I've been shooting movies since the Super 8 days (40 yrs?) and have lots of mediocre footage to prove it.

Looks just like Florida, except we don't have hills, clouds, or coats.

Not a bad day for an impromptu scale fest. And that's quite a slope site.

Check out the DS sites in sunny California! Of course they look forward to 80 mph days.

Thanks all, it was a great day, but yes, a little chilly. This is UK you know and those hills are pretty high.

Here's another one taken the same day. On board cam so you can see the site( a bit)

Check this out.

I'd trade you sun for rain any day. Not sure about the hills though.

We are wearing the same clothes here, but with a rain coat over. You have such a nice flying site. All the hills here, are Golf Courses, or farmland.

No! This year the summer was on a Monday. Maybe the summer will be on a Tuesday next year. We better get used to it, summer has turned into a childhood memory. Thanks for sharing your videos, and we keep flying. Even it's cold and wet.

Same weather here in Ireland too.
One of my ambitions is to fly Long Mynd.
One day soon......
But not waiting for 'summer'.

I've flown there quite a few times. Let's just say, with the slopes we have here, I wouldn't rush there ...
