Flyzone Sensei

Does anyone know what the specs are on the motor flyzone uses in the Sensei?
Mine just went on the fritz as the magnets dislodged and came out. Cut through ground wire etc. Also is there possibly a replacement available from Hobbyking?
This Sensei motor looks like a very small power plant and the mount is in front instead of the back. Thanks!

Check out the Tower Hobbies website. They sell the plane so the specs have to be there.

Motor specs

Tower Hobbies doesn't have any specs on this Sensei motor and neither does Hobbico or the Flyzone people. They don't even seem to know what brand of motor this is or who makes it. (Its what I was lead to believe) It is frustrating. I was just thinking someone might have run a few checks on the motor draw and different props.

OK, this foamie section does have a lot of info on it. Next time I will do a little more searching. Thanks and by the way I think it is a great plane as well.

31x28-1280
30x22-1350

In the UK the Sensie is branded as the ST Models Discovery.

The motor is rated at 870kv, for a 3 cell lipo with a 19 amp continuous current rating (according to the spares listing) and should look like the attached picture.

I wish I knew how to test a motor for kv for sure because this had come up for discussion before.

I just figured out how to use a tach (had to be in the sun , duh) and using the voltage at the balance taps of a battery I got 7620 rpm at 7 volts = 1089 kv.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of my test though , it was my first try with no verification under my belt.

Some where I saw that ideal is for the motor to run at about 80% rated rpm under
load. The stated rating is with out a prop.

We have checked several and that % seems to be about right when we are at
the wattage we need and battery time seems to confirm this.

In our 8lb Cub we have:
We have a Rimfire 60, 650kv with an 80a flightpower on 5 cells
with a 13/5 wood prop giving us 800w and 10,000rpm and 45a.
