aileron problem

had a problem with my ailerons today. i would move the stick to the right...for a right turn, the right aileron would move the full travel...but the left aileron just barely moved. then i moved the stick left, the left aileron would move full travel, but the right just barely moved....no control whatsover in banking turns ? i rebound...still the same

any idea what kinda problem i got ? it's been flying perfect until today

the as3x system seems to be working fine

The ailerons have differential built in, this is normal. Something else must be causing the problem.

Check that you're not accidentally on low rate (or very low rate). And make sure your throttle is completely off when you're waiting for the gyro to initialize. You may have hit a flew click of trim on the throttle, and the AS3X may be activating too quickly as it may think you gave up some throttle while inserting the battery. Sometime, it only take a couple of up trim on the throttle to screw things up.....

Otherwise, Kalmon is right, the differential is normal. (but seem low, so that's why I suggested checking if you are not in very low rate)

Maiden Flight / Review Video

It's been since JULY that I have had a bunch of summer video in the can just waiting to put it together and upload. Clearly too late for most on the forum but thought I would upload my short Maiden / Review for anyone new buying one of these beauties who happens on the forum.

I continue to enjoy flying my little Mig, it's such a novel and stable flying micro plane it always makes me smile.

Thanks my friend! I am already sub'd to your channel, love your vids. Will get that RESPONSE video approved asap as well.

Sure is fun plane, and now that I am using the HK cheap lipos I can get a bunch of flights at a time and am figuring out how NOT to bounce the landings! LOL

I just land in the grass, I don't have a very good runway (Short and extremely bumpy) and I have to fly within a few feet of myself at no throttle to make the landing. Had to re-bend my paperclip nosegear each time because it kept bending back. And it always bounced, usually twice. Now I just flop it in the grass with no worrries.
No throttle, no altitude, minimal airspeed, and full up elevator. Works every time.

UMX MiG 15 DF

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party.
My Dad has been very ill.
.
.
.
Wanted to get 10 flights on my MiG before I passed judgment on her.
I fly off a 60ft smooth parking lot next to about 5 acres of soccer field grass.

Pre-flight:
Nose gear wire bend for straight taxi.
Right aileron pushrod tweak.
More elevator throw.
Hyp (2S) 240s.
New blue velcro and I was good to go.

She performs better on 2S than I expected.
Not loving the vertical performance yet.
Take-off runs were shorter than I thought they would be.
Next batch of flights will be with Hyp (2S) 320s.

I've seen so many 'too hot' landing vids that I was expecting the worse.
Not the case.
She floats in very well, especially with a light head wind.

She is surprisingly quiet for a DF.
I love the little dust she kicks as you spool up on the tarmac.

I'm going to open her up now and tape the motor wires down.
Gear off next time as well.
I just wanted to see what she had in 'real world' stock form.

At the end of the day, I threw in a 3S 180.
All surfaces froze up during taxi time.
I let her cool and flew a couple more 2S packs.
Flights were solid.

For now I'm going to enjoy her on 2S.
She is no 3S Beast 3D but I didn't expect that.
I'm looking forward to the next mystery UMX DF!

Folks have mentioned this a few times...do we know that another UMX EDF is in the works? Or are we assuming since this one is so cool, SURELY E-flite is working on another...? Any clues out there? UMX A-10 is my vote! a ground-breaking dual UMX EDF and a mighty cool jet it would be to boot! They've already done dual UM prop (Mosquito), why not a dual UMX EDF?

Also--back to the Mig-15, does anyone have pics of the HK Nanotech 300maH mod to get it to work with UMX PH connector? Are folks using an adapter from std JST to JST PH or just soldering their own JST PH connector? I'm OK at soldering, but for micro work like this, I'd prefer an adapter since I'm not THAT good...
