I know but I don't have any mini deans to start using my TP charger. So for now I'll just keep it at 4:30 until I get some mini deans and can tell how many MAH I put back in. Then I'll be able to charge these little guys in about 4min.
They just look silly next to each other

If it means anything my mig is from one of the first production runs, I had been checking HH every few hours until it was in stock and then I ordered.
"WAHWAHWAHWAHWAH" sounds like LVC to me. It pulses.

You know what you can do... this pic reminds me. You can take a large 3S pack with you to the field and use it to run your 12v charger and fly A LOT if you want. I do this with a 3Ah 3S and my TP 610 charger.

When the motor cycles up and down, that's this particular ESCs way of letting you know it's LVC. Some just cut off cold but will start the motor back up if you put the throttle all the way down then back up again. As long as you don't go to full throttle it will give you enough power to make it home. When my Eflite 200 pooped out like that after the 3 min flight. it took 230 ma back in for a full charge. When I charged the 360s back up after the 3 mins it took 196 ma out of the batt.

Whew. It certainly is low on power. I usually put about 210-220mah back into it.

Did you make sure that the servo tape hasn't come loose and obstructing the air flow? Any obstruction will severely hamper performance.

At 450mah, you could use a standard 20C lipo with the same results. This is going to make the Mig pretty nose heavy too... but, you'll be up there for twice as long which I think is what you want.

Yeah at some point the weight is too much for the additional power to overcome.

Yeah, I wonder what the 450s weigh. I just weighed an old 430 flightmax and it weighed 30 grams almost double the Eflite at 16 grams. The Rhino 360 weighs 22 grams and the Mig carries it fine. I think the Eflite is running close to its C limit if the motor is drawing 5 amps. I'll put a voltmeter on it tomorrow to see what it's actually drawing.

just got back from the flying field and maiden my Mig-15 got 5 flights in, What a Sweet flyer! Hands down a much better jet then Great Planes F-86 Sabre. Don't get me wrong I love flying my Sabre but the Mig is much more stable then the Sabre. I'm using the Great Planes 250ma batteries I got 5-1/2 minute flights using good throttle management. The funny thing I didnt have to trim the Mig that got me thinking is the 3-axis gyro system compensating for trim needed? It's amazing how twitchy the servos are moving the Mig around in your hand. I hope E-flite makes a micro Sabre next? I thought the Mig-15 was a bit pricey but know I think it worth every cent!

What's everybody pulling on the bench? With a freshly charged Hyp 240mah I'm pulling 3.65 amps. Just trying to get a comparison if anybody's done this with same battery on a watt meter.

Flew 4 sorties tonight--what a blast this little plane is! I turned on high rates and wow! What a difference...you really need high rates (at least elevator) on landing (i know the manual states such)--but man, this thing was spot on! I was able to grease 3 or 4 touch-n-goes...so awesome to see her land on the mains and roll out. The aileron roll rate was so much faster on high rates, and doing tighter loops w/out stalling is much simpler too...

What a great little EDF! Now if E-Flite would just come out with a UMX A-10...that would be INCREDIBLE! First of it's kind micro dual EDF w/AS3X!

What a great time to be in this hobby!

I think I say that to myself, and to anyone in earshot about three times per day. Just got back from the field and what an amazing array of near-perfect scale, gyro equipped, EDF, warbirds, etc, of sizes from palm-sized to 62 inch wingspan, and each of them available to every-man for not much more than the cost of a premium round of golf.

Telemetry, self-correction, altimeters, GPS, gyros, minicameras, sevoless retracts, superbright LEDs, power-packed battery technology, computerized chargers, cell-phone-like transmitters....

I often say I was born in the wrong era and would have been happier being an adult in the thirties, forties, or fifties, but all of that goes out the window when I think of technology at our fingertips today, and at super cheap prices.
