Yup, it's a single piece. And the fins have to be removed to do this right.
You should do some accurate measuring and overlap the plastic with the two fins to make sure it's an almost perfect fit (almost because you don't want the plastic to reach the edges of the fin, because the fin is curved and you'll end up with a gap).

With the plastic and the fins overlapped, mark the detail on the end of the fin on each one, It's "T" shaped, then CA the fin of your choice to the plastic. Now squeeze (depends on the thickness of the plastic you used) the parts of the fins that get attached, between your fingers so you don't bend them when inserting.

Now with gentle moves fit them together and once the "T" drawing on the plastic overlaps with the shape on the wing, squeeze some tiny drops of CA below the unattached fin by gently bending the plastic.

... and voila!

Unless I'm missing something, what you guys are describing - and what your photo shows - is connecting both sides of the horizontal stabilizer with a single piece of plastic.

That's fine.

But, you are NOT connecting the elevators with a single piece of plastic.

That's what Eastcoast and I questioned.

Please clarify or explain..........

Yup, we are, that piece of plastic goes through the vertical fin even though you can't see it's gloss on the other elevator, it's there.

Okay, let me jump in here, because now I'm confused! If the elevator is being connected with a single piece, given the fact that they are angled, how do you keep it from binding as it moves up and down?

It's magic.

And there's an invisible gap in the MiG's vertical stabilizer, to allow the magic plastic connector to swing up and down.

(vadimpelau, the elevators are the moving part. The part that doesn't move is called the horizontal stabilizer. Generally speaking, if it doesn't move, it's not an elevator.)

I assure you there is a really wide gap in the vertical stabilizer.

Edit: so just take it as it is. Obviously I meant the horizontal stabilizer by "elevator", pics should make that clear.

Does your's look like this?

Hey all - sorry about the fuzzy pic, but hopefully it will come through clear enough.

Lately, my Mig seems to be generating less power (using same Hyp 240's). I thought the duct might be blocked by the servo wires, but they've remained in place. However, I do seem to have a big ol' set of wires for the motor itself that hang down. Is that normal? is there any way to re-position those wires to get them out of the way?

I just got a new impeller, the old one was bend when something? probably? got sucked in at one of my undecided landings. Wanted to avoid debris but failed to gain altitude.

The problem is that the new one slightly rubs the duct. What should I do? File it or just shove it in there and let it sort itself out?
