Well there are now 25 virtual Slickos out there being enjoyed, and 12 of each color, all in only 5 hours, I feel good!

All of you that have the ability to fly the Slicko in Rf, please let me know what kind of frame rates you get while flying, you can add the graphics frame rate readout to the nav guides if its not there already, go to Gadgets>Edit Nav Guides

Highest ~48
Lowest ~88

I am flyiing on HIGH rates.

And now a few questions:

It can almost loop within its own length...

1. Does the real Slicko have what appears to be extraordinary elevator authority?

I can flat turn at 1/2 throttle using full rudder and no aileron or elevator correction...

2. Will the real Slicko flat turn at full rudder with no aileron correction?

Rudder authority seems weak compared to elevator authority...

3. Is this correct?

Good framerates, average computer?

As far as the flying characteristics, I am not sure myself, but Khen did say it was spot on with his Slickos

Rightcoast, you need to state what your control throws are in degrees ie: 45 degrees on elevator, ect. and mine will almost loop in it's own length with 40 degrees of elevator throw. I do need a little opposite aileron to rudder for flat turns when they get tighter, and knife edge loops are about 10 feet diameter.

I have to agree with JC, although I don't have a Slicko to compare against. I tried to create a recording but I must be missing something. I hit record get a notice recording, stop recording, can't find the file. ? Any hints on this.

My frame rate is showing as 360. Dell Alienware. I had to change to physics from expert to intermediate to slow everything down. Still will basically loop around the CG and the rudder seems soft. The roll rate is a blur and never loses altitude without any elevator correction.

I dont have a realflight to reference and its been a few years. You should be able to find the folder where it defaults the recorded files to within the program folders somewhere within realflight. I dont remember the extension file used but on windows 7 it shouldnt take long to find if anyone knows the file format used for the recordings with the search function.

Might be a bug in 6.5. I was able to record until I upgraded from 6 to 6.5. The file should appear in the drop down box, but nothing shows up.

I don't have real flight 6.5, but real flight 5.5 has rudder issue with KE flight especially noticeable on KE loops on the back side of the loop. I correct all my planes by sitting the vertical height of the fuselage to be almost double that of the real plane. Do you 6.5 owners have that issue? It goes into a death slide and unless you apply gobs of throttle it's overly slow to recover. The Slicko can do pretty tight KE Loops. Elevator is pretty close to accurate. The Rudder turns on the RF version are a little flatter than life. LIke maxxnut mentioned it does require some counter ailerons on sharp rudder turns.

I will be going to the LHS tomorrow to grab the 6.0/6.5 upgrade.

My 5.5 records fine, but the .recording format seems proprietary. I will have to purchase FRAPS or something similar to capture video for youtube.

My frame is usually in the 120fps range.

Oh, and the roll rate on the RF Slicko is faster. I set the travels down to 27 - 30 degrees on the ailerons.

In RF 6.5 my knife edge loops are large but consistent speed throughout like I'm on low rate. Wing overs take a lot of room, the rudder is very soft. Full elevator and throttle and It's not a loop, the plane just pivots around the CG both inside and outside. Same with snap or Sullivan rolls. The elevator authority seems unrealistic.
