wind flying = FUN..
Younger son was flying his and he had it in a flat spin...right onto the neighbor's roof, it happened to "bounce" and the kid hit full power and flew it off the roof. I got some video of both of us flying at the same time, will post it before long

Like I promised, here is a video of me and the kid flying together, nothing fancy, just having fun. The radial engine in the back ground is a Yak 55 that does his routine each evening.

Ahhh, no...no replacement airplane for you until you finish the Slick-ette.
I am just getting done with another yellow one for a friend, will fly it tomorrow, and got some more pics to post.

This yellow plane for my friend will have a "Little Screamer" motor on it, cause he had one on hand.
I center the aileron servo and install it, then make the pushrods before the upper body is on, I also cut in the 2 other servos at this point, and make up the elevator pushrod.

The Little Screamer on the plane...

Had to make a larger Z-Bend to lower the pushrod so the guide could sit a little deeper into the foam, and add a stand-off on the rudder pushrod.

And here is Ed, the new Slicko owner. I flew it tonight and it is just a good as the others. I blew it on the pre-flight by not checking control throw direction, and the rudder was reversed, but I got my witts about me quick and got it down. Ed was very pleased and will order an unpainted kit witih power combo when they are back in stock.

I took the slicko to my model field today for a club event that had something to do with hot dogs and deviled eggs. I put 8 packs through it, and let 3 club members fly it, two of them already have the kits partially built, and the 3rd person said after 20 seconds..." Where do I get one of these" !!

And, I crashed the poor bird bad enough to tear the side of the body, picked it up and flew out the rest of the pack....flew fine and is now on the operating table in the hobby room. I really can't explain the mixed emotions of tossing a broken airplane back into the air...something not right about that, but the plane did not seem to care.
I also got pretty good at "scratch and go's" which is dragging the tail on the runway in high alpha and then tapping the throttle and flying again.

Aren't you glad you took my advise to get the Slicko?
I'm glad you're having a blast with it. Because that's what this plane is all about.
Yep, this plane takes a lickin" and keeps on tickin'

Yep, a little glue and you're back in business. I don't think I've ever damaged a Slicko enough to ground me.

My renters bailed my rental house and left it a mess so I've been tied up with that for the last few weeks. That's why Slicko kit production has slowed down to a drizzle. I'm hoping to be able to kick out a good run next weekend.
