Hi Tony,
It's Brent "Hollywood" from the Apollo B-17 squadron. Hey, a Red Tail squadron. I'm in! I just finished putting mine back together. Jim and I flew it on a buddy box and I messed up and didn't throttle back after landing. Taxied onto the grass area, broke a prop and burned up its ESC. All is a go and I'm ready to try again.

I'm in if I can get my Red Tail up and flying. The retracts that came with the plane sucked. Replaced them with eflites which as slightly larger. They shudder on the way down, but retract O.K. going up. Guys at the field think the gears are to heavy for the servo batt I'm using. I'm going to try to run the retracts on a separate batt. Sorry to hear about the retract issues. I hope you get your P-51 in the air soon. I purchased the Durafly 1100mm P-51 and will bring it on Saturday!

What happened to the crash plane?

Not sure. we never definitively figured out exactly what it was that caused the crash. We think it was the right aileron that did an commanded, full deflection.....it was recently replaced, and could have been the source of the problem because it didn't "play nicely" with the stock servos.

The good news....Brent's already got it back together again and in flyable condition! You got a love these foamies! A little bit of CA glue and some kicker, and you can mend them back together again in no time.
