The lighter it gets the better it feels to fly also longer flight times

Your video looks like you have FPV copter experience. Been doing it long?

One of the four v929's I have ordered (friends wanted them) from eBay seller ouyou2010 came on mode 1.

It was the last one to arrive, but it was ordered in the middle of the four. Even one that I ordered after it came on mode 2.

He does not even offer a mode 1 option. He claims to only sell mode 2.

Just thought I would post a mild warning.

Subject: Binding to a different stock transmitter.

With 4 v929's, (one broken and one on mode 1) I wanted to do some swapping around of transmitters to see if they were all interchangeable. Initially, I thought that there was an incompatibility among them, then I thought I couldn't get any copter to bind to another transmitter once it had been bound.

My standard power up procedure has always been: transmitter off, insert and center the lipo, plug in the lipo and quickly set the copter upright on a level surface till the rapid flashes (gyro calibration) stopped, set throttle stick to low, turn on transmitter, wait for beeps to stop, fly till it drops, immediately charge for 15 minutes before storing.

I think that I have found that all the binding problems that I had can be overcome by simply powering up the transmitter much more quickly after the copter. With transmitter off, but easily reachable, I plug the lipo in, flip the transmitter on, then turn the copter right side up and set it on a level surface. This can be done so quickly that the copter does not even started to initialize before sitting upright and level. I have repeated this procedure several times and can easily bind a different transmitter to a copter now.

Using my standard power up procedure, I can never bind a different transmitter. In hindsight it makes sense. New (never before bound) copters may bind more easily, but once a copter is bound, it will not change bindings unless powered up "at the same time" as a transmitter. This keeps two people flying in the same area from binding to each other's copters accidentally (actually just makes it much less likely).

What initially looked like a compatibility problem seems to be overcome now. I remember hearing that someone here had bought a replacement receiver board and couldn't get it to bind. I post this in the hope of helping them or others with this problem.

Great job AE. So what about the delay in video out? Is it real or not?

The sheer scale of that house you're always flying around reminds me of the Grayson's house in The 'Hamptons (from Revenge)... is it yours?
Looks like it still in construction... ever FPV'd through it?

I have two stock V929's since they first came out. Both are flown all the time and have not needed any parts and fly good as ever. With T9X just awesome Quads. I also have MQX that came with extra canopy. So Changed blades to white on one V929 and added MQX canopy. Result two that are same with MQx add ons. MQX is bound to DX5e and give MQX slight edge on power/ agility. Glad I have them both.

V929 Using V959??

Just thought I would throw this out there...

Anybody seen the WL Toys V959 yet? It comes with a camera plugged and has plugs spots on the board for other attachments like a missile launcher, water cannon, etc.

I am wondering. I have a V929 with the 8 plugs and I tested the extra 4 plugs and they do work with the top right button on the Tx. I think you know what I am getting at...

The V959 attachments like the camera, etc. can be bought seperately. Now, do they have the same plug as the ones on the V929 board? Could a person maybe trigger them with the V929 with the extra plugs?

I doubt it, but wondering if anyone has tried it.

I remember MassiveOverkill had tried to power a 808 camera on one and found that there was not enough voltage. Forgot which thread I read that though.
