Hello all, I recently purchased a 929 board from a member of the forum here with intentions of building a DIY micro. Today I received the board in the mail and proceeded attempt at binding it to my 9X transmitter using the following procedure.
Power up 929 board using 3.8v from adjustable bench supply. Power on 9X TX while holding bind button. Power cycle both devices. Upon powering up the 929 board it seems to turn on the motor outputs for ~4-5 seconds then once 'connected' to the radio the motors turn off and the light becomes solid. After this strange boot up pattern I can no longer get any of the motors to spin via throttle from the TX. I have my channel setup with the throttle reversed and in AETR assignment as instructed by this thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1707525 And here is a short clip to describe my problem, any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or is this a faulty board?

O 90degree that would be nice my camera is a 40 or 60degree any ways its way to small thats why i was thinking the 110 but if i can find a 90degree lens thats lighter then the 110 ill go that way. So do you know where i can get a 90degree lens?
heres my FPV Transmitter i named it Frankenstein. Im still need to get the frsky telementry screen and shorter cords other then that and a green paint job it will be finished! |

Just a few things on the transmitter... I would separate the video ground station from the transmitter for a few reasons... 1) the way the screen is placed right now, you may not have enough space to move your tx antenna to 90 degrees (free of ground reflections) for max tx range. 2) the screen is not shielded from the glare of the sun, and it maybe hard to see the screen. 3) the video rx u are using the 805,has a shortfall In terms of how the board is constructed and there is interference between the video out and the antenna.. The way to solve this is to put the antenna of a short lead... And then connect it to the 805. 4) having the video rx on the transmitter might not allow optimal anetenna placement ... 5) it will make using any other antenna eg a helical much more difficult.... |

Thanks for the advice i plan on getting FPV googles after christmas, ive tried this setup a few times and liked it but ill take your advice about making a screen to block out the sun glare and the shortfall of the 805. About the rx what do you mean about a sortfall and putting the antenna off a short lead (im new to the FPV talk)?
I stand instead of sit when i fly FPV and i tilt the monitor slightly forward so the tx antena is around 70dergees and the rx antenna is around 50degrees. The camera im using is this http://fpvhobby.com/94-8ghz-10mw-camera.html it has a decent range about an american football field 300feet |
