I can fault you on your strategy. I like the color scheme on the green n white mx. I did add some black strips to the underside of my yak to help with orientation

I'v got a DLE 30 and solar servos on the elevator and gotecks in the ailerons and rudder.
She weighs 10 lbs 4 ozs and is one bad bird. knife edge spins are very violent.
I laminated my landing gear block formers with fiberglass and 1/32 ply as well as wrapping fiberglass cloth around the former andlanding gear block.
This has given super strenght to my undercarraige and while I've had many a hard landing where I flatten the gear. It only took seconds to straighten the gear back out and fly again.

Thanks for sharing the LG mount strengthing tip! good stuff ay.... only poured a bit of 5 min epoxy onto the top plate where the blind nuts are attached... I might go back thru and add some ply.

I'm running a DLE30 as well... I'm still trying to learn how to predictively start the KE spin(blender?)... On the Yak55 I only have to point her nose down (no throttle added) and apply full aileron and she starts rotating around the vertical wing tip to wing tip axlis... violent does come to mind! Non of my other airframes do this like the Yak.

Just a heads up dle 30s are marked way down at tower plus club benefits bring them to 244.97 must be making room for the dle35r, I seen one run and just purs smoothly

I too have a Yak but mines alittle smaller than yours, 68 incher.
It's an older goldwing version. But hav'nt been able to afford the motor an parts for her yet.

That's a very nice looking yak, like I was saying those dle30s are cheaper the they ever were right now ashame to let a great looking plane stay grounded

The 35 ra just showed up on towers website looks like it almost the same bolt pattern and 2 mm shorter from standoff to prop adapter

I am still trying to figure out what's worse having an engine and no airframe for it or an airframe and no engine.
