Are you going to stain the mahogany and then clear coat, or just clear to bring out the color ?

No stain Tim,the color of the wood is consistent so I am going to clear it

I got my orental rug today along with more wood
The finish on the mahogany is giving me fits,I guess its more sanding and more coats

WOWSERS! That Oriental rug with all that wood really captures the era! Reminds me of the decor in of the yacht in "Some Like it Hot," which I know was a much larger boat.

I don't know George but to me seeing the reflection of that rug in the cabin wall tells me you have the finish work well in hand. The rug is very classy. Nice touch.

I like the rug, very nice. Not something you see in a model too often. The whole boat looks good.

Crochet that your self? Just wondering where you got it.

My grandmother used to crochet white tablecloths.

I put 3 coats of primer and I am very happy with hull.
