Unusual Quad frame - Z600
Introducing the experimental Z600.
Turnigy Plush 25A ESC
Turnigy Park450 890KV motors
GF 10x4.5 propellers
Turnigy Nano 3300mAh 3S battery
Power distribution board inside, between the 2 plates
Weight 1320g, AUW with battery 1570g
Motor test with 11.9V battery :
Mid-throttle : 4.3A - 50W - Thrust 380g = Total 1520g - Efficiency 7.6 g/W
WOT : 14.5A - 161W _ Thrust 930g = Total 3720g - Efficiency 5.8 g/W
Flying quite well.

Nice work, but you need 10 % more Al tubing than the classic cross form. So this config is per default heavier than the classic cross form.

This frame has been crash tested yesterday.
It felt from about 100m high and landed upside down on a hard surface.
It made a loud noise. It was mainly my fault.
3 damaged motors, maybe repairable, 2 propellers, one HK Wing Cam and dome broken.
No bent arm or cracked plate, motors are noisy but everything works normally.
Working to make it fly next weekend.

Sorry about the crash.
Do you feel like telling us why it happened so we can avoid doing the same thing?
Was it a power failure?

Is there a dxf file available for the frame plates? Or maybe some other type of file that I can get converted to a dxf file?
