Try Hobbytown in Colleyville
Not sure how close you are to Colleyville, but the Hobbytown location there is great. The manager "Brandon" I think his name is is very nice to deal with. i went to buy an engine there and they give you a coupon for every 50 you spend, you get a 5 dollar off coupon to use on your next visit. He was nice enough to apply it to that days purchase.

Mikes is a great place. Has indoor tracks for cars, Aero Hobbies in Lewisville is smaller, but has a lot of great stuff for its size. and the prices are good. Hobby Zone in Plano and Frisco.
