Swept Forward Wing SU - 47 (Version 2)
SU - 47 (Sukhoi) - Version 2 This is my new version of SU - 47. It’s the same plane posted on threat http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1645877, but with some changes. The changes are: It has KF airfoil n.º 4 for aerobatics (top and bottom), has no canards, and It has got just one vertical rudder. The airfoil KF number 4 is actually very good, it definitely worth the extra weight! This plane was intended to be just an experience, but it turned out to be very agile and precise in 3D aerobatic maneuvers. More 3D aerobatics in the video below. Please notice the steady vertical roll at 1’:58’’ and at 2’:17’’. I can assure you that this maneuver is very difficult and demanding for the plane to achieve it. ![]()
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Good flights! ![]() Follow your dreams and fly like there is no tomorrow! José Bernardo Lisbon, Portugal, Europe |

Detailed pictures / Plans SU - 47 (Version 2)
SU - 47 (version 2) Detailed pictures with dimensions/ Plans
I’m posting today some detailed pictures of my SU-47 with the dimensions. This is a really simple plane to build and it’s different because it has Swept Forward Wings. It looks really great in the air, it flies great (amazing 3D aerobatics - videos above) and it definitely is a turning heads at the airfield. If you don’t like the extreme maneuverability and pitch sensitive, just make a smaller elevator (the ailerons may have the same dimensions, as they don’t interfere so much in the flight because they aren’t in the prop wash). Give it a try, I think you will like it! ![]() Follow your dreams and fly like there is no tomorrow! Bernardo Lisbon, Europe, Portugal Sorry for the poor quality of the design, but I think that this photos are understandable and logical. I’m still learning how to use ‘Google Sketchup’.

Another video SU - 47 Twin vertical rudders Acrobatic (without canards)
This is another video with SU-47 (without canards) but this time with twin vertical rudders version. It was a windy day, but still I managed to pull out some 3D aerobatic maneuvers in between.
