Twin motor Startup issues
I have a twin running 2 24gram 1300KV blue wonder knock offs. I'm spinning a 9x5 GWS prop for about 10 amps each. I'm using an 18AMP ESC for each motor. ESCs are in the fuselage near the battery. Motor wires are extended about 1 foot to the motors.
Motors are http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...ushless/Detail And ESCs are: http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...-18-Amp/Detail Problem is one motor will start just fine (doesn't matter which one) and the other will stutter, and sometimes try to run backwards. If I throttle down and try again it may be the same motor that runs fine, or it may be the other one. I have to try this a few times before they both run fine. As long as I keep them running, I have no problems. Throttle response is normal and they throttle up and down in sync. I've run twin setups before (initially by extending the battery leads, then after reading that was bad, extending the motor leads) and have had no problems. ESC config is default...maybe changing the timing? But which way? Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated. |

Have you disconnected one of the red wires from one of the ESCs? If not, you have two BEC circuits fighting each other.
