I hope my simple suggestion is not received the wrong way. But I can admit that I forgot to calibrate esc's on my S800 the first time I flew, and it exhibited similar flight characteristics.

I assumed it was the same as the DJI Opto ESC's where no calibration is required

Can anyone else confirm this?

From the S800 Manual:

DJI ESCs are specially designed for multi-rotors. When use with DJI autopilot systems, you do not have to setup any parameters or calibrate travel range.

My hometown Belgrade winter aerials.
Few first shots are with MK okto, all other with S800, Z15 and GH2.

This had me concerned as well..I was thinking did I miss something?

If you are used to the Z-15, any other gimbal is going to feel inferior I am afraid. I spent a lot of time trying to get good results with the CineStar gimbal on a much better frame then the S800, and while I got acceptable results it never was anything close to the performance of a Z-15. And the CineStar gimbal is/was considered the best one, before Z-15 was released. The Z-15 is the one thing DJI got just right from the start..

Here is video of my strange power up beep from M6. Or is it ok like this?
I swapped the arms and I get the same sound from M6. It beeps later than other 5 arms.

(turn up the volume)
s800 power up M6 (0 min 9 sec)

This occurs when too much hot is applied to a trace, you also say that the cable insulation melted. this is a very clear signal of excessive hot applied to the cables itself and cables are much thicker (dissipate more heat) than a PCB trace.

You should lower the tip temperature if your solder has temperature control. If it hasn't , you should buy one specific for electronics with this capability. You have to check melting temperature of the tin also they are formulated for different uses and for delicate electronics you should use low temperature melting tin to avoid damaging traces or components.

I'm being using the JBC SL2020 (photo attached) for years very successfully and you have different tips to fit different tasks.

General use electrical solders are not good for electronics since they deliver too much hot.

Hello every one again.

I am pritty sad at the moment because my s800 doesnt worke like it should!
At first i am flying on 1.34 not 1.36 so its not the software i think.

When i fly the s800 in attitude mode and i move it in the air forward or in any directions it decents with throttle at 50% !!
This is real pain in the as because i have to push the throttel to 80 or even 100% to get the s800 back up again and prevent from crashing in the ground.

As you can see clearly in this video: you can see it even better in the second forward flight

s800 descent at 50% throttle (1 min 43 sec)


I Balanced my Motors I am flew with very different gains i played with vertical gains and no results.

I am getting really depresst, because i have some important jobs in the next vew months...

Exatly the same problem as i have had, i have replaced the imu with a new one, contact your dealer and let him know your problem, i am sure he will help you.
many has had this problem, and some off the problem can come from vibrations
