hi guys

we are also looking into this flipping behaviour.
problem is none of our ready made s800 suffers these issues.
now just as a theory , maybe it is adressed allready.
there is little room to place the imu , now it can happen that if the imu is just a hair away from the top plate it can touch the plate in some occasions.
in case of bad blade tracking this can resonate like crazy.
and it could be the issue , from weird flip overs.
annyone comment?


prop adaptors:

we also offering them from next week.
these are made by the manufacturer from the S800 motors.
they fit directly onto the s800 motors.
they come with , screws , graupner prop adaptor (6-8mm bushing) spinner , and self locking nut,black anodised.

we will be offering them also in a package together with 6 graupner props

we use this to mount a AV-200 directly onto the s800
but i think you an use it also to mount the av-130 with not much effort

i received them but it doesn't fit . measurements are same but the motor shaft doesn't fit inside the adapter.

I am one of the guys that put IMU always in center and I think another one just did it on his s800. However, Ferdinand, Denny, Robert(UAV) and most of the guys here still have it at stock position and they dont have issues, its still quite hard to pinpoint the origin special DJI strongly states that vibration has nothing to do with it. As of now different methods of elimination vibration is (somehow) a remedy, so far from what I read the top mods where prop adapter and reinforced arms.

As for prop adapter, as long as its true and balanced should be good.

IRC there was an M6 for reverse thread, I think it was on my Savage truck. maybe we can use them? I could be wrong

@flytahiti If you drill a few mm with 4mm on the backside it will fit.

I do agree with digitech,that the gap on the top-centerplace can be a major problem, I tried to explain this already, but I was not successful. However you mount the IMU on the bottom centerplate, you have to ensure, that the top centerplate is not touching the IMU during flight. (I solved this by putting glue all around the gap.

Are you talking about the arms you modifyed (reinforced arms and carbon cloth), when you say "new arms" ?? Or dji just released new design?? Pardon, but just to be clear

No new arms, I meant the reinforced arms (for me they are new).

Sandor, can you tell us the height of the propadapter (not the thread)? How high is the prop mounted?

Got Denny's Adapter 15mins ago...

They are about 25mm extension from motor case

sorry for poor handphone cam...too exited to mount it too lazy to bring out decent cam hahaha

IMHO, its more of a question of what you will use it for....

it's going to be a photoship.

i have other MR's for mucking about and fpv.

I plan to replace my DW Y6 build with the S800 and in the short term use it with my AV130 mount, but long term add a zenmuse.

It'll be used for aerial photography and maybe some aerial video work too.
