Today I flew the Graupner 14x8's and I have to say how impressed I am with this prop. It flew for 14.5 mins on the usual battery and the stabilization was the best that I have yet seen. Almost like it was made for the S800. The prop. adapter fits nicely with the recess allowing the washer and nut to fit inside. I started the test with a fresh battery showing 25.oov. at the start and 22.17 at the end when a first saw a red light. It seems to be a little better than DJI on endurance and in a totally different world for stab. in the wind.

Nice touch; I still need to see you fly that bad boy sometime. I'd be tempted to use a similar foldable mast, but I don't think that it would allow me to stack everything into my s800 case properly.

What exactly did you use for the yellow on the vertical and horizontal landing gear tubes?

In the electric prop world for multirotors, is a 15 in prop standard between manufacturers? With folding props, I've noticed that what one manufacturer calls a 15 in prop is not what another manufacturer considers one. The s800 stock prop tips come pretty close to each other; so, I don't want to buy something only to find that it won't fit.

Lol! I know ... but when it comes to a number of folding props (e.g., the very popular RFM brand), they are not really the lengths they say they are. They are often close, but sometimes 15" and 16", for example, are exactly the same, and both are not even really 15" or 16". The actual lengths in inches may vary by up to 2 cm or so (just enough to cause s800 prop tips to collide). This seems to be how it is with many folding prop manufacturers such as RFM, GM, E-Flight, ...

What are the length and pitch of those props? Interested in hearing in the flight report.

Well i tried the 10x10 square carbon fiber tubes today. Just zip tied under the arms. It adds about 70-80 grams to the copter.

I can't say that now there are no more vibrations. However i would estimate an improvement of about 50-55%. I only get white flashes now when i fly at full stick in gps atti or if i yaw very fast. In manual mode if i push it hard i get one white flash from time to time. Push it hard for an AP ship.

So overall it is quite a big difference. Of course the tubes help mostly in making the arm more rigid on the vertical axis. Horizontally they can still twist although they are a bit harder even in that axis. I might try adding to more tubes on the side of the arms to try to make them more rigid on the vertical axis as well. Don't really know if it would make that much of a difference thou.

Anyways i can only recommend you guys try it out and see if you get the same results.

It would be very nice if DJI would come out with V2 arms. I really don't like how this reinforcement looks. It works but it makes the whole copter look more like a bad DIY copter...

It looks the same in the changelog, but there is a difference because I was getting motor pulsing with 5.14a and with 5.14 I do not...
