Have been away for the weekend and found this neat little spot to unleash the bike and have a bit of fun.

They have a few parts that look like they might be interchangeable which is always good!

Most of the parts for the VMX will fit the MM. Basically the same bike but with a e gyro and a few small changes. Save some freight for sure. Just watch if you order SM inserts separately the front and rear part numbers were mixed up. You might see that when you receive yours if you check. Way better value to get a set I think though.

No worries. The only thing with the bigger batteries is the bike doesn't handle as sharply. Also jump landings are harsher. You have to be smoother on the throttle while cornering. I try not to use the 6000 batteries anywhere apart from quite small jumps. They are good for flat track. For the big track jumps and track work I use 5000s. I think your 5200 will be pretty good. Maybe try your mates 3200 in comparison, this will give you some idea what the different battery weights do.

The other thing is the inserts cop more of a hiding with the extra weight and the bike can tip quicker due to a height C of G.

One more thing I've found is for the best stability, the batteries need to be in good condition. This makes the gyro spin at optimal speed.

VMX E GYRO LOW CG RUNNING gear

This bike is running a lightened "gutted out" Vinnie rider, a low CG custom MAX AMPS 4000mah battery that DOES FIT the stock battery box, the new roller crash bars with much more lean angle than before,AND THE AMAZING hinged rear fender! The bike really is noticably quicker stopping, cornering and stands back up on it's wheels much faster than with standard battery pack and heavy Degan rider. I did a back to back comparison between the Deegan rider and the Vinnie gutted out rider and the Vinnie is much better even without the lighter battery. The riding in the video is pretty rough in the first minute of the vid, but I smooth out pretty good for the next minute or two. check out the hinged fender at the end! More about the battery and fender in the second vid. The third vid is "racer vinnie" compared to "goonie" Degan. Seriously, who would you put your money on to win?

Hehe, amazing hinged fender. The alternative way to do it, not sure if it was ChrisH, where the fender is cut like yours but attached to the bar instead of the body. Hey why havnt you considered a wheelie bar yet? I whipped one up in an hour based on a youtube video. I have it in my tips playlist. Maybe next spring/summer when you get out into the dirt, I am curious if you do some track testing to see how each setup runs, low cog vs stock. When you modified the battery tray on the low cog bike, does it still accept the standard stick batteries anymore or is that it, your locked into the fat short battery for that bike?
