Cheers mate, i only replaced it because one of the threads for the crash bar mount was stripped & i like making bits for it where i can, it would be great to have a CNC machine instead of having to make them by hand.

Had the same happen but just tapped out the next size up and then made up a tapped bush to bring it back to size

it would be great to have a CNC machine instead of having to make them by hand.

Good excuse to get a small one and start making alloy swing arms but then think how bored you would get after putting in the disk and it is all done for you
Will be following your experience with the beefed up shock mount

I know how fulfilling making alloy parts is but on the more detailed and complex parts the plastic used on these bikes is very good and takes a helicoil well.

It would seem that the carbon sheet is not suitable so I am now using 3MM Lexan sheet. I will get some pc paint Tomoz.

To make it all clear for you folks, the sprocket being recommended won't fit the later VMX's and the new MM450 because they use a newer sprocket which is pinned.

Hi guys,

I'm debating whether to buy or not the metal triple clamps for the bike. My thoughts are the stock plastic ones have some give that protect the front parts and bearings from getting bent or damaged, while the metal won't protect as much. The metal triple clamps can even get bent too.

What do you think?
