Dude, it makes me want to go more now! I have no sour taste at all. I had no idea our central coast was so flush with really good venues, I can't wait to go again.

Hey Kyle...it wasn't too sour for me either...

If we had wind that day, that San Simeon site would be a perfect place to throw down.

I would have stayed if I could of...

"Today the population of California condors has grown to more than 275. Of those, about 125 live in the wild at Big Sur, Pinnacles, Ventura County and the Grand Canyon, with a few in Baja California, Mexico. The rest live in captivity at the Los Angeles Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park and other facilities."

It was so cool to see them! The pix I took does not do them right. untill I saw one as close as we did you can't tell how big they are.

Very Cool flying sites, I did a slope safari up the coast of California, back in the 80's. Flying balsa planes back then. Wish I could go, but work and finishing the kitchen remodel is keeping me from flying.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I flew a bowl just north of hurst castle on hwy 1, it had a fence that stated no trespassing, the wind was howling so I had to fly, landed low on hill hoped fence and ended up with the worst case of poison oak, I was out of work for two weeks, but man did I have fun. Just my two cents. Ian

Ouch! I am sorry to hear that Ian!

However.......one of the most critical factors when deciding what slopes are flyable and what slopes are not flyable in the San Simeon / Big Sur area..... Is there Poison Oak to contend with? Rest assured.... none of the places I am currently flying in this area have Oak.....Yeah! They are clean! But there are countless slopes WITH Poison Oak for sure. Don’t get lured in! Stay clear....

Oh man I feel your pain Ian!

Ian it would be awesome to see you up there! Donít worry I will protect you from The Oak!

I have another trip planned July 20th-22nd. ALL are welcome to join in the fun if you like. My plan is if there are good flying conditions.....Kyler and I will be flying. If not.....we will go do some exploring in Big Sur!

Either way we win!

Would anyone like to join us?
