Haha, that rediculous song has been stuck in my head since SNL did their skit on it Saturday night. Who's wearing the bowl cut and neon yellow three piece?

Hmm, not a lot of enthusiasm so far. Only 2 pilots signed up for the Pro-Am...

The likely starting time for the Pro-Am on Friday will be between 1-2pm.

Just enter your name, and select the class (Expert==Pro, Sportsman==Amateur). If you have a team of two pilots (Pro+Am) feel free to enter the team name. Otherwise we will pair off the pilots randomly at the field, or whichever way we see fit. Obviously, we want to have an equal number of experts and sportsmen, ideally. We need 2 equal groups of pilots.

While we have a douche on our team (maybe even 3) the team name is The Carolina Crushers. :-)>

I believe I will be driving all day on Friday and miss the pro-am

Hey Bruce or anyone with a long drive home,

I was just wondering, do you leave for home right after the contest or tend to stay until Monday to drive home? If we can come, will be debating stopping halfway and finishing on Monday or just staying in Wilson and driving back the next day.

Last two years, we have been leaving ASAP for the 10+ hour ride home. Usually by the time I hit Delaware, I am exhausted. It has crossed my mind to stop and take a hotel. Often, by Jersey, I am dead. I think I have stopped at every rest stop on each of the last two years. once through Jersey, I am on autopilot and a second wind hits me and we get home with no problem.

Still waiting to hear from the doc and would love to come. It is fun to fly with all the guys who attend but I think it is the friendliness and hospitality that makes my family and me want to return. I am not saying NYers are mean or anything. Only saying that the guys who show and the group that runs this contest make you feel like family and who wouldn't want to visit with a family like that.

best of luck to all and I know you will have a great time. We always have.

Frank

Just signed up for the Pro-Am. What time will that event start? Sorry if I missed the time somewhere on here.

Late Fri morning, early afternoon arrival for me.

Been practicing but gotta watch it, I was practicing when I keeled my Stobel......but out of that came The Stone!

Looking forward to this contest, friends and fun!

Shameless plug: I have to focus more on work, so I am selling planes. From floater to cruiser, I can bring it down to Wilson:

They all survive my bad launch style, so they are all structurally sound and stiff.

Prices can be negotiated (a bit).

Best,

Reid, thanks for signing up. I love your reasons for being in F3K by the way.

I announced a few posts above - we will try to start Pro-Am around 1-2pm. Much later will not give us enough time to do sufficient flying. We need to run 3-4 rounds at least I think.

We need more pilots to make the Pro-Am happen. Especially Experts. We have more Sportsmen now.

I signed up for the Pro-Am. Should be there in time to participate. May even be awake.

Wow. Up to 47 on the main flight roster! Gonna be another party!

We have ten in the Pro-Am as of this post. Five of each. Get signed up it will be fun. What is better than a great two day? A third day!

Fall in eastern NC is my favorite season - nice temperature differentials make for great thermal days and it is not as humid and hot.
Today was just a great day for flying, challenging and varied conditions. we all had a great time at the practice contest.

Great practice today, despite me not doing so great!! Looking forward to a weekend in Wilson.

I will be CD'ing the Pro-Am on Friday afternoon which I would like to get started by 1-1:30 so we have time to get a good amount of rounds in. Also, I will be making the task list for it this week and am open to suggestions from you guys participating in it as to which tasks you think should be included/not included.
