Need Some Help

Brand new KK2 board. Worked for one day through the setup. Never actually put props on. Turned it on last night to do a last check and i'm getting the following error.

Errors. No yaw input.

Menu will not work and flash utility will not recognize it ( Tried to reflash ).

I have switched out esc's, Batteries, receivers etc. Quadruple checked all connections.

I'm hosed right? I had reservations from the beginning on the cheap HK equipment. If this had screwed up in flight I would have been out some $$.

Any better quality alternatives that don't have to be sent to china for returns? or is this where its at till things go a bit more main stream.

Thanks

[QUOTE=JohnVH;23271867]Tonights flight, anyone know how to stop it from being so wobbly coming down? Its worse than the KK2.1 board that was in there.. Any other setup tips greatly appreciated.QUOTE]

Hey John.
I know its a couple of days old but I just watched your vid. As mentioned earlyer it is very common for all multi rotors to wobble on the way down, it drove me crazy trying to stop mine from doing it. I'm still learning to fly and I've done a lot of reading about PID loop controll and yours appears to be well tuned. I notined on the first descent there was considerable wind noise indicating a little speed. Movement in any direction (forward, sideways etc) equal to or greater than the rate of descent will stop the wobble i.e. a glide ratio of more than 1:1. I have my quad tuned deliberatly to have a slight ossilation during descent and when in the ground effect layer. This gives me a quad that is very stable in normal flight. If you want to play with you gains, leave the P gain high and increase the I gain until your airframe snaps to attention. when you tilt from hover and return the stick to center the air frame should stop and hold that positoin very quickly not gently come to rest at the new set point. If there is a slight over shoot reduce the I gain by 1 or 2 points at a time. there is a Wiki Doc on PID Loop controll, it is long and for the most very heady, I read through it 4 times but it is well worht it, for me , it removed a lot of the questions you see on this thread day after day.
Now, I go looking for physical solutions before even thinking about tuning my FC to fix a problem and so far its been things like vibration, booms out of alignment or loose screws. Hope you get it sorted.

Pete.

If you plug one ESC into the throttle channel you get a responce?

You have tried replacing the servo cables from the receiver to the KK?

If you change the default posts per page don't get upset when people give you page number that don't line up; they did also give you the post numbers.

@subaru4wd: Nice V-tail you've got there. What (on-board) camera did you use in this video?

If you plug only one esc into M1 position the result is the same. Even with only one connection on M1 ( No Receiver ) its the same. LCD lights up and you get the no yaw error.

Replaced everything cable wise. Same result. Even tried that long reset sequence.

I think I had this problem too. Make sure your reciver is bound to your radio and MAKE SURE your RADIO is turned ON when you plug in your battery. Let me know if that fixes it.

Yep... Tried that too. Connects fine. Arms fine. Yaw error remains and the menu buttons do not work. Cannot access menu or flash.
