I haven't converted mine to flybarless, I need to change the servos to cope with the demanding load in swashplate, also changing servo in trex is not that easy.

Hmmm, I have a T-Rex 450 clone that is currently collecting dust, so maybe this could turn into an interesting project...

Cool! I was thinking of trying this so I could mount a camera on top of a standard 450mm quad and take the props out of view. Hadn't gotten around to it yet. Great to see you had good success.

For the LCD problem it would be good very nice if kapteinkuk or HK would give a PN or replacement type of the LCD.. It doesn't seem to be a custom one for the KK... this would make a lot of people's lives better!

After making the vid below, the very next day I went to fly it and it constantly want's to yaw to the left.
I changed props and motors which made no difference, I then checked the sensors and one of them (third from the top) said NOT OK. I tried recalibrating but it failed every time. Then I thought I'd flash it again with the stock 1.2fw and that seems to have fixed the NOT OK gyro, but the quad still wants to yaw left. I have to put the rudder all the way to the right just to keep it going straight.

I'm at a loss of what to try next, is the board screwed?

My other quad + is using a KK2.1 and never had an issue with it.
So far to me it seems that while the KK2 is good when it's working, there seems to be far too many issues and you have to baby sit it constantly.
Sure it's cheap, but the KK2.1 is half the price and it just works.
Had another quad x, a DJI 450 clone with KK2 and it flew away on it's own while I was fairly high up, lost all control bar throttle. Never found it and it was only 2 days old.

As you can see I'm still learning to fly, but now it's very hard when it wants to do it's own thing.

There was a description listed somewhere, it was just a type really
ie 64 line 128 character or something like that,

I did a search but various types and unless buying in bulk from manufacturer not worth it.
Ones on Ebay are at least half the price of KK2 and you do not know if the connection is the same.

I just removed one from a spare board and it is now transferable between my board with broken LCD and the one I removed it from as required.

I put velcro on the back and the backilight has std eflite 1S lipo connector if i need backlight.

Some minutes ago started to rising PI values... from (thinking working state) 80P, 40I i went up to 250(!)P but not anything significant except this bouncing when landing... my limit is 100... I am a little bit confused... With values 80/40(PI) and 100/20 (limits of PI) thought it was flying ok!... Because my batts are on the way i will try again in the afternoon....

My "new" scratch built Quad waiting for its fpv kit and second , hopefully not defective, KK2 board to arrive
after agonising I went with a symmetrical design .......... spider type next

Thanks bro ! Totally same set up as a quad,only the motor is upside down and props are installed the same with markings on top.

I have a T380 taller landing skid on it but ,still needs to be careful when taking off and landing. Props are 1.5" from the ground on mine.

That panda has been watching me flying all the time....he is not scared at all,lol
