The work that those guys did (SIX years ago!) amazed me then (AND STILL DOES)
You certainly seem to be on top of the game and even though the script appears not to be written in your usual language you are making steady progress.
I'm an old guy in UK and just bought one of these boards (a heck of a lot cheaper than my last board which relied on differential I.R. emission for stability )and I'm hoping I can make a stable quad out of it using your latest firmware.
Congratulations on your work to date and keep up the good work

I must admit I'm a relative newcomer to multirotors, so I hadn't seen this before, even though I was around MIT in 2006. Looks great! I guess that was just before the parts got really cheap.

Thanks!

I'm seeing the same issue. F30a escs with SimonK with NTM2826 1000kv motors. They all calibrate individually through the receiver but I get nothing through the kk2 board.

Will try the aux input for aileron control too, so once again, thanks

Matt
Hi Matt, attached is a modified KK2 hex file for you. It swaps the aileron and aux input. I've just flown with it. Now connect your rx aileron to the aux input on the KK2 board and see if the receiver test works.

Steve.

thanks for reply. I now know its not just me...
Have you used any other esc on your KK2 that does calibrate correctly through the KK2? Do you feel its the SimonK that is the difference?

I guess as long as the motors respond at the same time it will be OK. My Tricopter seems to fly fine, so as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Nice one steve hopefully Matt will find it of use.

Although with his Yaw servo moving when board is safe and motors not spinning makes me think board is kaput.

thanks, i figured i could view the code like that. i just also wonder if there's tools for compiling also. kinda like how there's Eclipse for Java. you could write and view Java in notepad but running it is a pain in command line (not really)

So today I had a fatal failure, while testing my tricopter at its highest altitude yet. Long story short, I came crashing down and my KK2 board broke free from the body mount. It was mounted using nylon nuts & bolts & the force was enough to break all 4 nylon nuts clean.

Of course the KK2 board no longer works. I get "NOT OK" on all the ACC. I know I'm not the first to have killed one of these boards. Is it hopelessly dead or has anybody been able to revive one of these things?

The acc maybe came loose. Maybe the same person tech9x is referring to resolder a bad point from the acc and it was "ok" again. He figured it out when he push down on the acc and doing so read "ok" status on the test screen.
