I guess, they don't receive a big shipment. I ordered on the 22 of June, still say Backorder. Hopefully I will get it on the next shipment.

It is ADXL335. The engineer at hobbyking told me they had bought plenty of the gyros.

Only need to connect a cable from battery+ to this hole. The ground return is through ESC#1's ground wire.
I mean't RC quads

Hi Rolf

Do you have plans with HK to release also a version without LCD ?
Will not be more efficient to just expose the two serial ports, and have a LCD module to be plug in for eventual set up (alternatively a PC or a serial 2 bluetooth module and a Smartphone can be used ?

I think with a serial port there is maybe even enough power to connect a GPS module and allow some more magic ...

Thanks

e_lm_70

ps: Remove the LCD will make the board more light (end even chaper), only for this it make sense to me.

I'll probably be there when it arrives home

Erknie, did you want to make it removable?
I can see from the photos that the metal frame of the LCD is soldered hard onto the board but I bet the LCD has those rubber contact systems to electrically connect the LCD to the board. Maybe you could replace the metal tabs with a threaded bolt?
Hi HappySundays,

If I'm not mistaken you did write a nice open source code for the KK with attached accelerometer.

Do have plans to have your own open source also for this board ?

Porting of OpenAero to this is already well under way...
Just a thing though - the LCD is what makes the KK2.0 so cool.
I have no plans to make it work without the LCD.

I have to agree, the built in LCD takes away having to lug a computer with MultiWii GUI on it. Just looking at that video above shows how useful it is. It's also great to see a menu system that seems logical for a change. After going nuts with my Turnigy 9x menus, the KK2 is a breath of fresh air!

It is not done by adding only a GPS in my opinion. You also need a Magnetometer to make GPS and additional value. I think PH is not possible without mag values. RTH could work if you fly first forward and then to the Home.
